Just started losing my libido. Is time of the essence?

I have been taking Propecia for a month and a half. After taking it for a week or so I noticed that urination became a little more difficult. I don’t know why I didn’t go to the doctor right away but I probably should have. In the past week my libido has gone down considerably.

I came across this website last night. I stopped taking the drug last night. I called the pharmacist. He said I should stop taking and give it a week or two. If things don’t change then I should see my doctor.

However, I am pretty concerned/worried. I want to go see my doctor and/or urologist ASAP. Is time of the essence? Would waiting make things worse or more permanent? Would going to the doctor sooner help make my risks decrease? The phamacist didn’t think so.

If you have no other symptoms, I would not worry too much. Worrying about your libido will kill it too…

Don’t get paranoid, but do monitor your body for anything unusual, as for many the problems really started when we stopped taking the drug. Believe me, you will notice if these things happen to you

Time is of the essence if you wish to see what your hormone levels are doing. In that regard I would try and obtain the recommended bloodtests as outlined on this site (Hormones section) so you can measure what type of impact Finasteride was having on your body, to compaer against laster should things get worse.
