Hello everyone,

I am now back in the United States.

To give you a real quick history of Propecia and me.

The History

I took propecia for 3 days, had the side effects of decreased libido
and ED. I had a girlfriend at the time and quit taking it. WIthin 3
days, I returned to normal.

My hair was receeding more and more. I decided try and take it
again. Thinking the side effect were worth saving my hair. I took it
for 3 months and had the side effects the entire time.

Four years later, at 26, i still have the side effects. 3 years ago
i began seeing doctor shippens. About 2years ago, I consulted a
lawyer seeking compensation from Merck for my medical expenses. The
lawyer said the only way to have a lawsuit would be a class action
lawsuit, with at least 100 people who had the same side effects" At
this point in know over 60 people who have the same problems, maybe
more, I lost count. NOT 100,

With this posting, I will try to clear up a few things.

Since being affected by this condition, I have spent many hours and
many dollars to try to find a cure. At one point, i was spending
most of my free time and money looking for a fix. After about 3years
of searching, having contacted as many knowledgable people on the
subject of Propecia as possible, from Physicist, William Frankel,
who petitioned the FDA not to approve Propecia(see FDA website), to
Dr Eugene Shippens, Author of the “Testosterone Syndrome”, I decided
that I can no longer invest the vast amount of time and money that i
have in the past. I am burnt out and don’t see an end in sight.

There has been a few individuals in this group who have emailed me
and i have been very lax about returning there email. I apologize
for my tardiness or no response at all. To explain why I have not
promptly returned there email, i receive so much email enquiring
about Propecia, that i cannot possibly keep up with it. People ask
me about every aspect and side effect of the drug. I am a college
student; I own a business and work a part time job, so my time is
very valuable and I just do not have the time to respond to all the
emails. Also with hotmail, I don’t receive all of the propecia
emails, some of it goes directly to the junk mail and I never get to
read it.

If anyone has any question, please post it here. I will check this
occasionally and post a reply. You can also do a search under
alt.support.impotence+davefulmore and you will find other postings
from me.

One last thing, I do not take vulgarities very lightly. Occasionaly
i will receive a nasty email from some uneducated, ignorant person.
If you are not intelegint enough to use words other than
vulgarities, please do not bother contacting me, i will not respond.

Cheers,
Josh

Hello Everyone,

I haven’t looked on this site in a long time. Yes, I was burnt out.
Tom was correct in most of the things he said in his post. My
dysfunction resulting from Propecia was consuming my life. I spent
over $20,000 of my own money and hundreds of hours trying to find a
cure.

My point in the lawsuit was not for the money (even though some
reimbursement would be nice), it was to make the general population
or potential users aware of the unknown risks.

I did bring most of my hormone levels to the normal range,
considering I didn’t have a baseline to start from. Even though my
hormones were “normal”, my penis would not function properly and
my sex drive was gone. Out of all the drugs and various types of
treatment I have tried, a mix of Viagra (50mg) and Yohimbee works
the best for me.

The only thing that has changed with my long term sexual side
effects from Propecia is I am not spending thousands of dollars and
the majority of my free time trying to finding a cure. I have come
to the realization that it could be much worse. I have learned to
cope with it. This reminds me of the popular opera singer Andrea
Bocelli. Have you ever heard of him?

I recently went to see him in concert. In my opinion, he has one of
the best male voices I have ever heard. To me, it does not matter
that he is completely blind, he is amazing. His parents told him
to “never to accept life’s difficulties in a passive way, but rather
to draw strength from them”.

That is where I am at. It is a better place to be. Have a very good
holiday and happy new year.

Cheers,

Josh

I take it Josh has not been in contact with anyone from this site?
