Jorbies Podcast with Jesse

I would highly recommend anyone to listen to Adams podcast today with Jesse.
It was majorly uplifting to me.
Adam has proven himself as a serious player in the fight against this syndrome and he shows his knowledge of the basic problem and shows how proactive he is in trying to push awareness if this problem to new researchers.
There are also some uplifting referenced to what Dr. Allen said about this syndrome as well as references to a new gene treatment that will be coming on the market in the close future.
One thing about this whole situation that has really got to me is the guilt I have been feeling for taking this drug. I took it in 2013, a point where the dangers of this drug were evident if you looked for them.i did do research but I was lied to by a clinic when I mentioned the dangers I had read. I too told myself though how could it be still on the market after all these years. And no one can really know how bad this is until they experience it.label doesn’t reflect shit and never references the fact that symptoms only kick in after you stop takin it.i had the mildest symptoms while on it.then 5/6 weeks off it BOOM.
It is referenced in the podcast and I think it’s right that we should not blame ourselves for this situation. The system is fucked.
People may say duuuh but I had no experience with this.
I too am college educated had just started a job with one of the big 4 accountancy firms.i experienced my crash over Christmas break and my physical appearance has declined gradually since then.
I’d say when I came back after study leave they were all thinkin what happened this guy or who is this guy? Nightmare.

Everybody should have a listen to it though.it have me great hope and motivation.

DO THE STUDIES!!!

100% agreed.

Merck is wrong to the point of being not only evil, but psychopathic. And they KNOW that are wrong (which makes the psychopathic).

So there is no need to fear them.

Simply stand up, tell your story and loudly note that you’re mad as hell and not going to take it anymore.

Rather, you are going to exercise your right (at least as an American) to protest like hell until the company is brought to justice.

That is NOT what Merck wants. But they will be powerless to stop us.

Is it possible under the current system that Merck can receive some genuine justice? I say this, not to put a dampener on things, just that I fear that this may play out like other pharmaceutical crimes, and after a financial slap on the wrists it will be business as usual. I unfortunately don’t have a firm grasp on how we could exact real change. I would love that we could be the chisel that slides into that crack and wedges right open all the criminality that Merck has gotten away with as things currently stand. Does anybody with any political and legal knowledge know how these things work and how we can Erin Brockovich these bastards? I feel that this should be brought to the attention of our political representatives, even if it’s under the banner of how the current system allows pharmaceutical companies to commit criminal acts by holding all the cards.

Sorry for hijacking this thread - this was just in response to PR123’s comment. I also felt that it was yet another excellent podcast. It really brings home how, like a terrorist bomb blast, the damage is indiscriminate and long lasting, effecting and hurting many.

I agree with Adam. At the very least fund the research, pay for all our trips and medical costs. Also our lost income. Ect.

The key in bringing Merck to justice is public relations: If those damaged by Propecia accept some payoff, sign a gag order and go crawl back under a rock, Merck will be happy.

But if everyone says, “We don’t want your money. We want justice–not just for Propecia victims but Gardasil, NuvaRing, Fosamax, Vioxx, etc., etc., victims,” and keep those messages going strong in the coming years, then Merck is screwed.

Incessant and ever-increasing public outcry–from consumers the world over–will eventually force them to address these issues.

The effort must be similar to those of PETA and Green Peace.

Let’s call it…

WAM! (The World Against Merck)

Vioxx was recalled in September 2004. So the 10th anniversary of that nightmare is coming up.

WAM! needs to acknowledge the occasion.

WAM is a good idea.
The amount of good people they have mamed I’m sure would all love to see Merck get their cumupence.
There are hundreds of thousands,if not millions of them out there.
They are evil bastards.

Jorbie … Another great job. Thank you.

This podcast really hit home with me, as I was in a similar state as Jesse is now, with a wife, 2 kids and a job to hang on to. Many of his concerns and worries were identical to mine at that time.

If he’s out there and wants to PM me for support, please feel free. I can say that while I’m not recovered by any stretch at 2 years post-crash, my life is at least manageable and I seem to have as many good days as I have bad.
