Joint effusion, any clues?

Long story short, I have been suffering from long term chronic gout (not fin related) and I experienced a major attack early last month after having a fever and now a month later my right ankle is still full of fluid and I have been bedridden for a month , there was relief, but still unable to walk, and regular anti-inflammatory drugs had no effect, I was forced to take hormones, the inflammation and pain disappeared quickly, but the effusion remained, as if the joints had lost the ability to absorb the effusion, Before this, I was able to start running again in a week at most. I think the fin has completely changed something in the joint cavity.
