No, MatrinM’s post it isn’t pointless, it’s logical. JN has tried multiple treatments over the years and nearly each time has claimed he was almost or temporarily recovered. Considering his past history, there are many confounding variables to his story which could have influenced results from future treatments.
Moonman your ratio is a joke. It has nothing to do with pfs.
I have little viens on my penis that werent there before finasteride. Peoples dicks have shrunk, and you think its because of this ratio, you have got to be joking.
On the other hand please post anything from published medicine about this ratio, no spam please.
To my knowledge you still havent put up the info about the legitimacy of the cortisol “spit test” that you always crap on about. Please post a link if you have posted.
I’d just like to add something here, because I often wonder the same. I recently asked my doctor for a saliva cortisol test (I offered to pay for it), and he prefaced his grant by saying that he would not treat if anything was amiss, and the majority of others doctors wouldn’t either, unless they were quacks. I’m not saying I agree, but that is what happened. The sad thing is I have the test kit, and I can’t get enough spit to fill the silly tube because I am so dehydrated.
How does RT3 have nothing to do with PFS? Take a look at the Thyroid thread…almost all of them have Reverse T3 dominance. My ratio is a joke? Its not MY ratio its the ratio they use at STTM. Its common sense.
I also have the spider veins. There is obviously vasoconstriction in our penis. The best theory to explain this is our bodies being stuck in a sympathetic state (adrenals). I never claimed that RT3 has anything to do with this. But I do claim that the RT3 is probably also due to the sympathetic state.
Now what is his non-sense on the “spit test”? I have never been against saliva cortisol…I am against blood serum cortisol tests.
Read the whole thread toad. JN has “recovered” previously multiple times. He has also had had enough energy to get through medical school prior to his current regimen. That’s pretty impressive for a PFS sufferer, no? I am still unclear to the state of his current sexual function other than he is feeling better, which is why I asked directly about his sexual function in a previous post.
JN was damaged at such a young age i wonder if, through all the years, he has proper memory of what sexual function should be like or was like before finasteride and if this is fully taken into account in the quality of his recovery.
Well, that’s the crux isn’t it – we don’t have a comprehensive control for any of these purported recoveries, so how can we be definitively sure. I’m always astounded when I read that people are battling significant fatigue and claim that they have gone for a run or been to the gym (even though they didn’t feel like it). In my mind, fatigue means I am tired after doing the vacuuming, and, I’d only be able to run 20% of the distance I could run before.
Getting through medical school with brain fog, cognitive dysfunction, anxiety, ED, fatigue and a dash of depression is extremely impressive – perhaps improbable, if we’re being honest. A committed individual could get through school if all the said symptoms were set at mild-moderate. The brain fog and the cognitive dissonance, in particular, would have to be mild for it to work.
Moonman you miss read my posting about cortisol testing, you provided no published medicine examples of reverse t3 dominance, instead made a reference to sttm, saying its common sense? … enough said.
About cortisol testing and rt3 im more inclined to believe real life doctors, and published medicine studies about what finasteride actually does, rather than listing to an internet user called moonman.
Well there is your issue. I spent 6+ years and 5,000+ dollars on 10+ doctors. trying to figure out my issues. It wasnt untill i focused on adrenals (no other dr would) and RT3 (no doctor knew it existed) that i began to feel normal again in all aspects except sexual.
So i am feeling pretty damn good and jn feels even better by focusing on things that you assume are quackery…but yet we r the “weird” ones. Gotta love it!
Most of us have understaken some form of treatment to directly or indirectly address PFS.
So if anyone recovers, there should be an asterisk in their recovery thread indicating everything they took previously, and a note that the member’s stated reason for recovery may not be accurate. Like MR, I’d love to be the subject of that conversation!
