update JN??

Read back he said he would not update for a month.

I read your whole story. All 29 pages - The most uplifting thing i’ve read in a good while! I wish i wouldn’t live in the backwoods Finland, far away from all the medical experts or anti-anging doctors. I wish i had some money to even finance my recovery for now.

I know this question sounds really shallow after what everyone goes through but did you ever get those dark circles to your eyes during/after finasteride? If so, did they ever go away or do you still have them?
I know there are people who caught muscle wasting in the facial area which is far worse but it would be interesting to know if those dark circles went away for ANYBODY after supposed recovery, considering how mysteriously they appear in the first place.

Also, how much did your regiment cost per month eg. two months ago? How much does your drugs cost now per month?
I’m asking since i’m a poor student whose parents are poor, too. Certainly would have a motivation to get a well-paying job if… i even had any energy left to be ambitious, heh.

EDIT I actually have much more seminal/important questions to you but i have to do these later on.

so your decision to start to wean off the T3 was when you realized your RT3 was back to a normal ratio? How often were you testing this?

Also, why were you on T4? i am guessing that you stopped it because you stopped posting about it because the whole point of taking t3 was to slow down the T4 so you don’t make excess rt3?

and the cortisol you dwindled down on, what made you decide it was time(stable body temps for x amt of time)? i see you posted that you researched it on bodybuilding sites, but according to STTM, you are supposed to dwindle down very slowly in order for your adrenal glands to pickup the slack very slowly.

hmmm very interesting. maybe your (our) adrenal glands are perfectly capable of picking up the slack quickly or you have just good adrenal glands or something. but i am guessing the reason for the dwindle down slowly is so we dont put ourselves in adrenal fatigue again by overworking. the pregnelone you took could be picking up the slack?

i’m also reading that people track their T3 levels according to body temp, but it seems to be the same thing with cortisol… i can see how it would work out if you stabilized body temp with cortisol first, then attempted T3 treatment and i’m guessing body temp would go out of wack again and retreat it that way? or you just stopped T3 according to your RT3 ratio?

any updates to this story?

So he basically boosted his T3 / Cortisol, felt better, then went off the drugs and remained feeling good?

JN updates periodically. He is taking a whole cocktail of drugs and has been for years. It’s anything but simple.

there hasnt been any updates since he stated he wanted to get off the preg / t3

JN! You havent been back in a while bud — so great — but please tell us what is goin on  you are probably formulating the perfect plan for us right haha

very interested in an update, its been a while now.

update would be good.
thanks.

I was thinking the same thing. It’s been more than a few months. I’m sure he’s busy and if he’s continuing to feel better he’s enjoying his life as he should. However, it only takes a few minutes to come onto the forum and update your thread.

I personally wouldn’t be interested in replicating the exact concoction of drugs that he is taking, but I am curious as to how he’s doing.

Anyone have JNs email address? It would be nice to see how he is doing now a days…

Personally, I’m not very optimistic on his current health. In the past, he tended to update his thread more often when he was feeling good than when he was feeling bad.
My dr said that, if we can kick start my system, all I will need in the future will be T4 and maybe some pregnenolone. If this is true, then stopping T4 could have been a bad decision by JN.

Can anyone email or skype JN to see how he is doing?

JN is on so many MEDS it’s difficult to decipher which are helping the most. From reading some of his posts i am guessing it’s the hydrocortisone and T3.

I am hoping that using Dexamethasone once in the morning and T3 in the day may mimic this. There is a definite theme occurring - anti-inflammatory medications WORK for us. I have completely written off the Androgen deprivation theory.

Androgen deprivation theory is what scares me the most. but even if it was that why would this cause numbness

The doctor was Dr Greg Emerson. Legend. He treats the cause. YES, treat the cause. Hormones don’t treat the cause. These were the CAUSES of my suffering, the causes of my chronic fatigue syndrome.

issues I had

  1. pyroluria- check it out, causes extreme anxiety and depression, I basically would piss out all my Vit B6 and zinc under times of stress. One’s pyroles are supposed to be less than 10, mine were 55 on a morining urine sample. Dr Emerson places me on a compounded B6, zinc, Vit C and Vit E formula twice a day. No anxiety ever, just restful calm and bliss.
  2. Worm (enterobius vermicularis) and parasite (unidentified) in my gastrointestinal tract. I took nitrazoxinide and stromectol for a bit.
  3. adrenal fatigue, slowly improving
  4. low normal functioning thyroid with high reverse t3 (was on t3 for a bit)
  5. allergies to wheat and cow’s dairy, lamb, pumpkin, MSG, sulphites. Elimination of these have dramatically improved my health.

I took meds to sort out the worm and meds to sort out the ‘unidentified parasite’
Yes, i feel astonishing. I feel the best I’ve felt in my life. Erections very good (not yet like when I was 21) but getting there! Nocturnal erections literally all night. And if I have sex, I get spontaneously aroused, ready for sex immediately and perform well every time. Starting to be ready for seconds in sex. Ejaculate improved over the last month or so, much more copious…
Organic vegetables
I eat NOTHING bad for me EVER
Yoga- clinically proven to help adrenals recover.
Beach twice a week, surfing , thus dissipating negative electromagnetic forces. I even have an ‘earthing blanket’ which I sleep on to ‘ground myself’. Check out ‘grounding’ or ‘earthing’; fascinating stuff.
Exercise daily. I’m top of the tennis league at my club.
Going to bed at 9.30pm, waking up at 6am, this helps tremendously.
I’ve got the energy of a mad walrus. My eyes open at 6am, I jump out of bed, whack on the radio and it’s time to rock. A massive breakfast before cycling to work. Oh yes, the organic markets on a Sunday morning. Ready for the week.
Life is beautiful

Just some things that I take on a daily basis:

MORNING

fermented cod liver oil
my compounded ‘pyroluria’ formula
reishi mushroom extract
chaga mushroom extract
evening primrose (for pyroluria)
transdermal magnesium (wipe it on my skin after shower)

AFTERNOON when I get back from work

  • blend up 4 raw eggs with seaweed, chia seeds, goji berries, pure water, bee pollen, cinnamon
  • A glass containing Maca powder, Phytonutrients, 1 drop nascent iodine, 50 mls pomegranate juice, turmeric, 5 drops oregano oil, chlorella (1/2 teaspoon)
  • juiced organic green vegetables (courgettes, ginger, beetroot)
  • growing wheatgrass on my windowsill and juice it up
  • sunlight, love and sex, good music, good comedy, some artwork

EVENING before bed

  • compunded formula for pyroluria

Yeah right, you say! How can all these improve erections, ejaculate, etc…just fucking try it. And yes, I’m fucking crazy.

I’m totally off all medications; testosterone, HCG, arimidex, blah blah blah. I was astonished how easily I came off the meds. Just decided to stop them. I remember when I literally had to take more than 150mg T per week or I’d be a heap on the floor.

The only vitamins I take are in the compounded formula for pyroluria.
The rest I get from nature, our biggest healer. As Dr Greg Emerson states ‘The body is designed to win’ and mine has won.

Here is his website www.drgregemerson.com
I challenge anyone here to find a better doctor in the world. You’ll be hard pressed. At least find a doctor who ‘treats the cause’.
Also, join his facebook group for regular updates on health…they’re awesome.

Best Wishes

JN

Wow JN that is great. You probably put more $ and time into this than 99% of us. You def deserve it! Please answer some questions I have…

-As far as I know, Dr Emerson does not have an open appointment until well into 2012. Did you find any doctors in Perth who are even close to Emerson’s level? Do you live on the east or west coast?
-You are not even on HC or T3 anymore? Your RT3 never creaped back up? I have followed the same RT3 protocol as you but it did not help my libido or erections at all. Do you feel that fixing RT3 is what helped libido and erections the most?
-So in what way do you believe that Finasteride fucks us all up exactly? If someone had to go to a doctor and tell them what exactly to test for and diagnose what would it be?
-If I remember reading correctly…you were a very severe case…bad depression, severe ED, etc. Am I right?
-Did you have prostate issues?

-JN- Thank you so much for the update!! Do you think enterobius vermicularis had a lot to do with this as well?

JN, thanks for the update.

Really really awesome.

I’m confused here. After boosting your thyroid and adrenal hormones, you sounded fantastic in March. Then, what happened? Did you have a setback and investigated other causes (eg pyroluria)? When did you find out about the pyroluria, the worm, the parasite, and the allergies?
