JG's blood test

Ok man.

Here are some ideas from me.

Your CRP is high. This is an indicator of inflimation = not good. You need to fix this. I doubt this is related to finasteride.

Your iodine was low. = Take 10mg iodine evey day. Buy cheap online.

Your liver is in bad shape. This is also not good. You must fix this forget about taking any drugs till you have fixed this. You need to have your liver examined. You need to work out what is wrong here. I know iron causes liver damage and alcohol partial though iron accumulation.

Get an ultrasounds, stop all drugs, all achohol. Look up herbs that can help you here. ALA, milk thistle ect.

ํYou have very high levels of cortisol binding globulin. This is bound to screw you up in many ways. Your energy will be shit, digestion will be bad, you will feel panic.

Glycemie : 1.15 g/l (0.7-1) --> What is this?

Get a full iron panel. And find out what else could be causing your liver enzymes to be high.

How is your diet?

???
You’re replying to a FOUR (4) YEARS OLD post.
Things have changed a lot for JG since then (his blood tests have fluctuated along with his symtoms, he’s adressed a few pbs, etc…)
And where did you get that his iodine was low???

lol indeed

i’ve checked my liver many times after this test and it came back normal
same thing for CRP

i had low iodine indeed, I mentioned it once in my thread on the Members stories section
i took multivitamins with other stuff in it (including iodine), it indeed helped to make me feel even more better at that time

i’ve not checked cortisol binding globulin, though

my diet is somewhat healthy

Where are your latest blood tests?

I think this CBG issue is very important. Could this be why we all have low body temps? Low metabolism? I was supposed get the results back today of mine but the screwed the test. But I am 95% sure they are high. The questions is why? Is this a result of increased estrogen? Or is estrogen a result of increased CBG.

I am pretty sure that low cortisol is the source of our fatique and brainfog. When you have lots of energy you feel alert and I do not think you can have brainfog when you are feeling enegized? Correct me if this is wrong?

I can either be very fatigued or very energized, my brain fog is the same either way.

Interesting I only feel like my brain wont work when my body is out of energy maybe this is not brain fog that I have. How does coffee affect brain fog?

I have never had a cup in my life.

Give it a go, coffee has some benefits. Now I am taking it instead of cortisol. Does the same thing for me. I know exactly when I have low cortisol symptoms now and coffee sorts me out. It also has a liver protective effect.

I think this advice is somewhat dubious. Caffeine in general puts extra stress on the body by mimicking the effects of cortisol. It’s also highly inflammatory for Chron’s diseas which I believe Tim developed after taking fin (correct me if I’m wrong Tim).

I thought it stimulated cortisol production and is an antioxidant? Coffee berry supplement provides 2500 orac in 400mg.

Caffeine is causes a body-wide physiological reaction. It’s effects are second only to cocaine (last I researched it) in it’s ability to affect the entire body. It’s a CNS stimulant.

Check out the link, lot’s of interesting stuff there.

Yes crohns came after finasteride. And sorry i wont be drinking coffee anytime soon.
