Is this typical post-Finasteride sympthoms?

Hello! I´m currently 18 years old and was on fin 7 months before I stopped 1 month ago. I´m experiencing eyebrow shed, shed from the donor area (sides, and back), depression, low energy, maybe increased libido etc.

I´m greatful for not being impotent at least. However, the eyebrow + the donor shed is what´s freakin me out. I´m basically experiencing sympthoms similar to hypothyroidism. Is this typical? what can, and should I do?

How severe eyebrow shed? Have never heard of it here before.
You’re libido is increased compared to pre-fin?! And you think it’s a problem ?

my right eye brow has actually been thinning like crazy since my crash, but only the right one for some reason, also the hair on my ankles has literally disappeared

Get in to a doctor soon. I assume they will figure this out with a blood test

Sorry, meant “decreased libido”.

Not very serve. Not cosmetically visable, but some hairs every now and then.
I actually meant “decreased libido” and I struggles to keep the erection for a longer period.
I´ve already took blood tests, and nothing came out abnormal. I don´t know if I took the right blood tests though.

My TSH, and T4 was totally normal.
He didn´t however test the T3, but I took a new blood test today to also measure the T3.

I´m happy to report that my libido, erection, sperm and orgasm is perfectly normal. However, the hair loss from the sides and eye brows, the low energy and the constant tireness is what really scares me.

Any thoughts?

Hello! I have now taken two bloodtests testing T3, T4 and TSH, due to my eyebrow and donor (sides and back of head) loss, and the results are normal. What else can causing this?

I don´t have any sexual side effects, but this condition makes me wanna commit suicide so badly.

Interesting I also have had the eyebrow shed. I have it on both eyebrows at both ends of each eyebrow. They have also gotten lighter in color. I also had my thyroid hormones checked and they were all within range.

It seems to be getting slightly better with time though, albeit slowly.

Also, please dont kill yourself.

Hello! I started Finasteride for about 1.5 years ago, and I started noticing hair loss on both sides and backs (the “donor” area).
I also noticed shedding on eyebrows and body hair (pubic hair). In the last month my eye brows started to thin out significantly, I had bald pathes where thick eyebrow hair used to be. It basically looked like my eyebrows eventually would completely dissapear.
I noticed white flakes on the eyebrows which indicated that this area was seriousely dry. I therefore applied an aloe vera moisturizer cream, and my eye brows are now completely filling in. However, my body hair and scalp hair is still shedding (they are left untreated).

Could this be a clue to how I can change the hormone levels back to normal? I have already ordered some iodine supplements to hopefully kick start the system back to normal. However, I want your guys opinions.

I’ve had crazy shedding all over post-Fin as well. It really pisses me off. I was totally fine in the hair department before Fin. I never would have thought a hair loss medicine would INCREASE hair loss. I can only hope it normalizes over time, but I highly doubt it. It almost pisses me off more than the other issues. Now I get to be castrated AND bald. Fuck.

I also have hair thinning on arms and legs, outer eyebrows etc. it’s not dry skin, something hormonal. I think the fact that your eyebrows are filling in is a very good sign, perhaps your thyroid function is being upregulated.

The funny thing is that my eyebrows only only started to fill in AFTER I applied the aloe vera cream.
I’m also confident that this is something hormonal. I don’t have dry skin either.
This is basically hypothyroidism without the actual diagnose. I therefore hope that Iodine will kick start the system back to normal (it’s supposed to help the thyroid gland and other hormonal functions).

I will update you on my progress! Guys with similar symptomps, please share your stories, and report back wheather or not your eyebrows restore themselves after applying moisturizer cream. Maybe we have the same problem, and therefore can help each other out. Sorry about all the grammar and typo mistakes btw. I’m a foreign to the English language and tired as phuk.

Do you get cold hands as well?

I can relate. My beard hair has been falling out in patches, some hairs grow back much thinner, then become ingrown due to the leather like skin. I’m going to see a dermatologist next. My hormone levels are not back to normal. It’s been 850 days since I stopped taking Propecia and side effects are still in control of my life. Hang in there. Things will eventually get better with the right care and treatment protocol. New studies are being done to make the connection with Propecia scientific proof and to come up with a treatment regimen.
Some days I won’t leave the house or be seen in public because my face is a mess.

No, I don’t have cold hands.
