A maybe not so wild thought, p.acnes never left post Accutane. The body just quit responding to it, no longer treating it as a threat.

P. acnes / C. acnes is also found in other tissues such as intestine, stomach, lungs, mouth, conjunctiva, prostate and urinary tract .
