Is it harder for us to lose weight?

Ive been eating less and was excercising. Seems like it’s harder for me to lose weight. Do you guys find this to be the case? Can we put on muscle if we weightlifts still?

Ive put alot of extra belly fat on and lost ALOT of my upper body muscle mass. I used to be very stocky built. Less muscle, less calories you burn.

Hows the gut now? Was it okay pre PFS?

I never had belly fat til post fin and it doesnt seem to be going anytime soon.

Is this something I can fix through training? I’m concerned because I know this belly fat was not brought on by indolence; rather it must be something fin brought on.

Lots of sites indicate belly fat as a precursor/indicator of ED.

I think its an overall indication of our hormonal state. Less androgens (for whatever reason) less muscle = more fat. Yes, this is still an issue for me. Before Fin I was stocky and strong. Lifted weights 5-6 days per week. Now, sunken chest and fat stomach. My metabolism has slowed dramatically since Fin. I also have alot more gas (burping) and acid reflux since Fin. Gross I know, but some times I wake up with vomit coming up out of either my mouth or nose. As alot of you experience, I never sleep through an entire night.

As nolongerthesame alludes to - Its more than just skipping the gym. Before I would easily maintain what muscle I had even if I skipped the gym for a few weeks, now it all turns directly to fat.

vision- if you feel well enough to do light training I’d say try it IMO.

You just described me. Wow.

Re the gym, I’m going to give it a go. So far I’ll lose weight anywhere but the gutt.

I lose muscle at an alarming rate. ive been hitting the gym every other day for the past 3 months. last summer i went less than 10 times and was huge now im flabby and still have a gut. i train pretty hard and push myself as much as i can. i used to bench around 210 but now i max out at 150. going to the gym consisently, im not losing as much strenght but i can increase weight and my tone is gettting continuously worse. i cant stand looking like this when i work so hard.

You didn’t get huge in less than 10 sessions, that’s impossible.

Some of the other guys have had some success with high weights (relative to PFS sufferer) and short reps with at least one day of rest between workouts.

not huge but i was very cut and defined all around. i had a lot of mass from sports and occasional small workouts. im a gym freak now and i looked twice as good then as i do now.

You bet it is. Collapsed endocrine system screws with our metabolism.

I recently had my testosterone levels checked and it was 300. I am just 34 . My dht was also below range. I imagine this is why I have issues with weight and muscle. I have started clomid treatment.
