I was on 0.5mg of Propecia everyday. About 5 days in and I started having difficulty getting an erection. About two days later I just stopped using Propecia. So i’ve used it for a total of 7 days. I’ve been Profecia-free for 3 days now and i’m still having difficulty getting an erection. Hence, my questions: Is 7 days use of Profecia enough to cause ED? And should I have tapered down instead of quitting cold turky?

In short, unfortunately yes! I took two pills on two consecutive days and have had ed for almost 3 years. Took when I was 21 and now 24.

Worrying can be a dick softener in and of itself. Worrying/stress will not help your body heal.

There is no definitive answer on tapering down either way. Finasteride has a flat dose response rate so even though tapering down puts less finasteride into your system your body basically still reacts the same.
What’s done is done, don’t think twice about it. Give your body some time to heal. This forum is for men with persistent side effects from finasteride so don’t rush to join unless you find yourself with continued problems.
