And it’s an even better day when one of Merck’s own employees issues written attacks to Kenneth C. Frazier–and the story is picked up in the Philadelphia Inquirer, under the headline:
“Philly-area Merck union chief rips CEO Ken Frazier for layoffs, endangering workers at West Point plant”
Note this passage:
“While laying off thousands, unionized and not, Frazier’s pay has skyrocketed in the last year. According proxy statements filed with the SEC, Frazier’s total compensation rose from $13.376 million in 2013 to $25.029 million in 2014.”
That’s right, Darth Frazier made TWENTY-FIVE million bucks last year, part of which came from selling Propecia.

Thank you, Dan Bangert! If more people had the guts to speak to our boss, Kenneth C. Frazier, like you do, Merck wouldn’t keep killer drugs like finasteride on the market. If you haven’t heard, at least 1% of all men who take Merck’s hair-loss medication develop what’s known as post-finasteride syndrome. PFS is a persistent condition whose side effects include loss of libido, erectile dysfunction, depression, suicidal ideation, anxiety, panic attacks, Peyronie’s disease, penile shrinkage,
gynecomastia, muscle atrophy, cognitive impairment, insomnia, severely dry skin and tinnitus. So why IS is still on the market? Go ask Mr. Frazier.
Seems like some whistle-blowers are in the making.
