Hello! First of all, sorry for my bad English. I’m from Brazil and I’ve been following the forum since 2019 when I crashed after taking 0.25mg of finasteride. To summarize, in the first 6 months I had all the possible side effects. After that, I had what many consider a weak PFS, with only sexual side effects. Most of the time, libido was low, erection only with manual stimulation and then it weakened and went away. And the sensitivity, which to this day has never returned to what it was before I had the syndrome. But since I was able to have sex using at least 10mg of Cialis, it was terrible, but I managed to get by. Sex was kind of mechanical, but ok.
This year, because my baldness was accelerating, I tried to find a trichologist who used natural resources instead of 5ARI, because my baseline was ok, I could have sex, so she gave me a topical treatment that contains the following products:
Rosemary oil 1%
Green tea 2%
Coffee extract 1%
Grape seed oil 1%
Niacinamide 2%
Panthenol 2%
Curcumin 2%
I researched the components, and green tea is a weak inhibitor of 5AR along with curcumin. I had already seen people here talk about androgen receptors being overexpressed, so I thought, why not give it a try? My hairline was rising rapidly, and after 2 weeks of using it every day, I can say that my libido and erection returned to what it was before having PFS. Unfortunately, the sensitivity did not return, but I can have strong erections and sex without using Cialis for the first time since 2019!!
Additionally, in the past, I also tried pro-hormonal herbs like Tribulus and Maca Peruana with no success. This further supports the idea that the androgen receptors are likely overexpressed, as even these herbs, which are supposed to boost testosterone, had no effect on my condition.
My hair is shedding like crazy, and is probably not a cure but make life being a pfs suffer more “enjoyable”
