My friend usually donate blood and helps other people.

He recently spotted finasteride on a list of banned substances.

the document said that donate blood on people who took finasteride is forbidden forever.

I’ll find out more later and let you know.

I googled and the American red cross say this on the subject.

  • Accutane, Amnesteem, Claravis or Sotret (isoretinoin), Proscar (finasteride), and Propecia (finasteride) - wait 1 month from the last dose.
  • Avodart (dutasteride) - wait 6 months from the last dose.

Or it looks like the American red cross say that, anyway.

I used to donate plasma for money in college and they said you can’t have used finasteride for like a month. This is because if a pregnant woman receives your blood the finasteride could damage the baby’s development
