I'm new here

Hello everyone,

New here so I’m not sure if I’m posting in the right section. If not, I apologize in advance. I, like many of you guys, started taking propecia many years ago. I had all the side-effects associated with the medication. Talked with my doctor and he said it wasn’t related but was sent to specialists to deal with these side-effects. Saw a lot of doctors and had no relief. The worst was the mental anguish. It was like being in a horror movie with no end in sight. I stopped taking the propecia two years ago and still have all the side-effects of the medication. I have seen a load of doctors and they tell me nothing is wrong with me medically that it is all in my head. I’m so sick of hearing this that i’m afraid i’ll go postal on one of these doctors. I just don’t know what to do or who to see to alleviate this damn condition. I live in the tri-state metro area close to NYC and if somebody has a doctor that can help me out that is familiar with this I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

Hi Bloodline,

It might help if you show your Doctor this “peer reviewed” article on PFS by Dr Andrew Rynne.

Bloodline, the harsh reality is that there are NO doctors who know how to treat this condition. There is nobody that even knows what has happened to us and so without more knowledge of the relationship between 5 alpha reductase enzymes and the brain there isn’t much any medical professional will be able to do. The only thing any of us can do really is wait for the studies to hopefully make some sort of breakthrough.

Careful. If bizzbee reads this he will go mental on you.
