Im 21 years old, i been on propecia since Feb on 2009, i stopped taking it for one month and went back on it and its been about 4 months, i really dont expirience any of the crazy side effects i was reading about, sexual drive has deff change but not to the point where i cant perform. the reason why im calling this post “freaking out” is because i had no idea about all the issues behind this product. Now im pretty scared about developing this side effects, i really dont notice brain fog or anything, im just wondering if this is something that i should be concerned about, im defenetly never touching this drug again even tho is the only thing that has worked for my hair loss. i dont wana fuck my life up to have nice hair, i much rather be bald than to have any of the crazy ass side effects i was reading about, i just need some advise if anyone has any please let me know. yes ive read alot of the topics but if i was to read them all i would probably freak the fuck out. do you guys think that the side effects dont affect me, will they show up later, should i deff stop this drug.
im manly as i can be, i work out party hard and have sex as much as i can but i dont want to be 30 or 40 and not have a life like ive read about some people on here. i hope those people really do get better.
please help me and advice me, i believe i can still save my life since i dont really notice any side effects, im just scared that they will show up.

Nobody knows the true percentage of who gets side effects, why, or when… or who out of those men will experience permanent problems after quitting.
If you want to take that chance, then go ahead and take the drug, and go post on hairloss sites.

Everyone here is against Finasteride so that is our answer. If you want to play russian roulette with your health and chance problems down the road, that’s your decision to make.
ok mew… i understand you are the site “administrator” and you guys claim to be able to help people or at least try. that have taken propecia, but you really arent man, it sounds to me like you just wana get everyones bad story on here for some reason, most of the people in here started taken the drug to treat hair loss, not because they wanted to fuck their lives up, and when i read post about people concerned of lossing their hair that theyve gained with propecia you just yell at them and tell them to go somewhere ulse, i dont believe this helps anyone. if you go to rehab anywhere in the world they dont just ask you what the hell is wrong they actually help you find ways to better your self. thats what i wana do, i appreciate the site because it does have some great info, but remember that we all started here for a reason wheather is for prostate treatment or hairloss, i understand that people want to focus on side-effects but when they ask for advice on how to controll the problem you again just tell them to go to a hairloss site, pretty much your telling people go read all the bull shyt about hair loss products, get fucked up by taking propecia then after your life is fucked up come here and let us know. makes no sence. seriosuly to the people this site has helped good for you but to the people that want to get help and learn more your doing a horrible job. to me it sounds like you just wana hear peoples story to see in wich one you can make money. yeah i can see how your going to be upset about this messege i left but if you really care about the people here and what happens with them you should deffenitly change the way you answer post.
o yeah and one more note is that one side-effect after taking propecia is losing your hair all over again wich makes people depress, less confident, and really more confused. i believe thats why most men taking propecia started taking it in the first place, so check your self before you start telling me im writting dumbshyt on here.
It’s for people who are suffering from this drug…If the drug has worked good for you, then great! Just don’t whine to us if you ever have bad side effects and need help.
I could careless about my hair. Losing your sex drive over vanity is stupid…It’s just hair, and who cares if you have to shave it off?

As you can read from the title of this site, it says: “Forum for men with PERSISTANT sexual, mental & physical side effects which CONTINUE DESPITE QUITTING hair loss & prostate drug Finasteride (Propecia, Proscar)”. Clearly you missed the memo on what this site is about, but I’m not surprised due to the lack of intelligence and poor english you’ve displayed in your written responses thus far. It also seems you did not even bother reading through the links I gave you in my previous msg, otherwise you would not bother to reply in the way you did.
Let me explain one more time: You currently do not fit the profile of this target market or the demographics of this site – you do not have longterm issues from the drug. Asking us if you might have side effects or not is an impossible question for anyone to answer – we are not God, nor are we interested in “what ifs”. The only way to know if side effects would resolve, IF you had any while taking it, is to QUIT THE DRUG and wait and see. Of course, nobody here will recommend you even take the drug in the first place, to avoid any potential mess.
Great, then make use of it, do as much reading as you can, and come to your own conclusions. You need to make the decision for yourself wether you want to continue taking the drug, based on all the info available to you… including anecdotally from sites like this, other users’ experience on hairloss sites, askapatient.com etc.
If you’re “freaking out” about what you’ve read here, that’s your problem, not ours. We are simply reporting our experiences, so if you want to bury your head in the sand via selective vision about informtion you read, just so you’ll feel better at night knowing less about what the medication you are considering taking might do, then that’s your choice.
But do not blame us for your personal issue of not being able to deal with the reality of our situations, when you came to this site looking for such information in the first place.
No kidding, we ALL took the drug cause we wanted to stop our hairloss, just like you, and then found out the hard way Merck and the FDA lied about the potential for side effects and that they’d resolve after quitting. For us, the damage is done, and this site serves as a warning to others about what they may potentially be risking by taking this medication for something that is purely a cosmetic issue.
Nobody here is going to recommend you take Finasteride, PERIOD, and nobody here wants to waste their time on questions like this because they are impossible to answer (“will I get side effects?”). The only way to know is to try the drug, but nobody really knows the true percentage of men who may get side effects, and if they will resolve. But just realize if things go horribly wrong, what you might be in for. Permanent ED from the drug is now listed in the prescribing info in the UK and Sweden, so take that for what it’s worth.
Anyone can READ this forum, but posting is a different story. It’s assinine questions like yours that are the problem, because they demonstrate a clear lack of understanding of what this site is about, or why it even exists. Such questions are insulting to the members here.
When posters are not in the target demographic of this site and express an interest to use Finasteride for hairloss, yes, they should go to hairloss sites. As well, if you still want to deal with a cosmetic issue like hairloss WITHOUT using 5AR inhibitors, there are plenty of other options available, which you can find out about and discuss on those hairloss sites. THIS is NOT a hairloss site and we do not condone cluttering the forum with discussion about hairloss, especially since that’s what got us into this mess in the first place: vanity.
Make money off the suffering of others? Really, if that’s the case – just how would I do that exactly, Mr. Smartypants?

I setup and pay for this site out of my own pocket and ask nothing of return… yet have/continue to invest countless hours/years researching the problem, administering the site, and trying to help people with legitimate concerns and questions.

If you want to take the drug, go ahead – but do not bother posting here if that’s the case.
If you take it and end up with problems after quitting, ie side effects that do not resolve months later, then this is the forum for you.
If you choose not to take 5AR inhibitors, visit hairloss sites for alternative treatments.
