First, sorry for my English, I’m Russian. I had some sexual problems before taking finasteride. However, my hormones were good. Testosterone was about 700-800 ng / dl, estradiol was 30 pg / ml, but DHT was too high: 1667 pg / ml. I thought that high DHT is the cause of my non-bacterial inflammation of the prostate. However, after administration of 1 mg of finasteride, I experienced hell. I took a pill at night, and almost all night, I could not sleep. I have slightly increased the upper lip (an allergic reaction to finasteride), now the lip became normal. Already one hour after taking the pill, I noticed numbness and penile shrinkage, as well as the inability to achieve full erection. The next day I started taking tamoxifen and it gave some effect for 1-2 days, but now there is no effect. I continue to take tamoxifen and thyroid hormones (because my TSH is slightly higher: 2.2 and my T4 slightly lower: 12).

I will be able to recover from this one fucking pill? Now less than a week has passed.

One month ago, I took about 1 mg of finasteride (about one fifth of the 5-mg pill). A few hours later my penis has become numb. I could not achieve a full erection. Spontaneous erections are gone. I went to bed and fell asleep, but awoke in the night and felt a terrible panic attack. I did not sleep till morning. In the morning I discovered that my face (especially the upper lip) swollen. Fortunately, swelling had gone by the end of the day. The next day, I found that I almost did not have stubble on my upper lip (where there was swelling). I immediately started looking for information on the Internet. I took tamoxifen (10 to 30 mg daily) for 3 weeks to block estrogen and increase testosterone production. Besides, I was taking 50 mg of L-thyroxin every day to speed metabolism, because my TSH is a little high (but within the range). I also eat lots of broccoli. During this time I began to feel better mentally, my stubble on his upper lip began to grow a little better. I am sure that now I have high testosterone (I’m going to do a blood test at the end of next month, now I have no money), but I still do not have morning and spontaneous erections. My penis seems to have become smaller. I still can not achieve a full erection during masturbation, although my libido is normal. Fortunately, I have not had any pain in the testicles or watery ejaculate. But recently I noticed that during masturbation, I have a lot of grease (precum). Several years ago I suffered from prostatitis, but now I do not feel pain in the prostate. Before taking this pill my testosterone and dihydrotestosterone were high (T: 700-800 mg / dl, DHT was twice the upper limit of the range).

I am shocked. I do not believe that 1 mg of this stuff can lead to irreversible consequences. I want to kick in the balls who allowed the use of finasteride as a drug.

Please, somebody help me. I know that the half-life finasteride complexes with 5-alpha-reductase about 30 days. So, probably not enough time has passed. But I am very depressed.

So, 5 weeks after the pill. The only improvement is the reduction of anxiety. My erection is weak. I still do not have a spontaneous and morning erections. I want to die.

It´s realy to early. Only 5weeks? I also just took 0,5 mg. Give your body some time and don´t go into panik. For me its now 3 Month ago and still Problems, but some things have improved. I also cant understand, how only one of this shit can do this. When after Fin you startet to take Tamo?
Tamo, will only raise your LH and FSH and T. But also Estrogens, Tamo is looking like Estrogens but doesnt do anything. That means, it binds on some E-receptors and makes no reaction. So the body things the is not much E2 and will produce more T. Dont get into Panik, I will take some time!

Hi Brainbug, thanks for your reply.

I started taking tamoxifen in a day or two after taking finasteride. I took tamoxifen for 3 weeks at various doses. I wanted as soon as possible to block the excess of estradiol, as well as increase the level of dihydrotestosterone. Thanks to tamoxifen after a few days, excessive sweating disappeared, anxiety decreased significantly. I am sure that my testosterone was very high, because I felt that my muscles are growing up without any training. Now I do not take tamoxifen, just drink lots of broccoli juice (to speed up the metabolism of estradiol) and take 50 micrograms of thyroxine daily. Surprisingly, finasteride did not affect the growth of my beard, while the stubble on the upper lip is still not growing as good as before.

How long after taking this f***ing pill you started getting nocturnal erections?

Don´t Yout think this was a bit quick?

Whlie on that you had a hughe exces of estradiol, but i could not bind to at some
estrogenrezeptors

For me too, all growing good as before

It comes and goes. I think it was about 2 Month after I took it. Atm 3 Month of its a up and down. Dont try to boost you T to much and avoid a bit masturb. You wil find a lot of good tips here in the forum. I update my story each day, just for me, that i can see, how things are and were.

6 weeks after. Erection during masturbation improved. My penis looks bigger. But I still do not have nocturnal, morning and spontaneous erections.

IMHO T4 is low :frowning:

Fresh, is this stuff freely available in Russia for hairloss? I was under the impression it was banned.

Yes, I got this stuff without a prescription.

Luckfax, I was the one who suggested it was banned in Russia. I later corrected this by stating that a doctor told me it’s known by this person and their colleagues to cause strong side effects and it isn’t used by such doctors (endos and uros) for hair loss. However Russia has a very different legal and regulatory system and most drugs are available for purchase at a pharmacy without a prescription. There are also the private hair clinics that push it.

Basically the normal medical community isn’t selling it for hair loss but you can buy finasteride in a pharmacy or get it from a hair clinic (which I think is quite expensive).
