I go to the emergency room

I don’t know if it is due to the Syndrome, but I have eyes that burn like fire, and are ultra-dry and with yellow secretions. I think it’s bacterial conjunctivitis. I go to the emergency room. This is without a doubt the worst summer of my life.

That does sound quite a lot like conjunctivitis.

I have had periods of exactly what you are describing (except yellow secretion), and they never found anything at the ophthalmologist’s emergency room (they said that my eyes were very dry but didn’t found anything wrong despite various tests). With time it got better.

I also have eye floaters.

Eye floaters are normal

I don’t mean a “healthy” amount of eye floaters (I imagine what you probably understand when you read eye floaters).

I mean a whole lot of it which at times made it really uncomfortable to read. Anyway, it is something I got used to.

If you do a quick search you’ll see many pfs sufferers have had a big increase in eye floaters.

I don’t know the reason, though.

@Demon I know a decent amount about eyes.

  1. PFS causes dry eye. The lacrimal and meibomian glands are under influence of androgens.
  2. if your eyes are dry and without a stable tear film, they can promote bacterial growth.
  3. If you have bacterial conjunctivitis, take moxeza or polytrim as prescribed. I don’t know what the brands are in Italy, however.

Every day, I also recommend doing warm compresses. This will promote expression of oil from the meibomian gland. The meibomian gland produces oil for the tear film, which is important for a stable tear. Do a warm compress for ten minutes while meditating. That’s what I do. In addition, buy lid scrubs to really clean the lids and lashes up every night. Sometimes the problem isn’t our eyes, but rather the lids. Dry eyes suck, and they require daily care. Don’t use visine, use a drop like systane. Visine dries you up in the long run.

It’s also crucial to do lid massages right after warm compresses to express the oils out of your glands, right?

Also what can you buy that’s affordable for daily cleaning of your eye lids and lashes?

Yes! Gently rub your finger downwards on your upper lid, and rub your finger upwards on your lower lid. This is to express oil. If you look closely in front of the mirror, you might see oil come out.

I recommend ocusoft wipes! They come in a 30 pack for $10 at target. I use them nightly and my eyes feel much better and less dry in the morning because there isn’t as much debris in the lashes which make way to the eye.

Bacterial conjunctivitis my eyes have never been so bad. My eyes are swollen and red and they burn like hell. I’m treating them. But today I feel very suicidal and murderer. This is not the summer I would like to spend. I swear that those who gave me this syndrome shit will pay dearly for it.
