I go to suicide, good luck everybody

Send me a PM. I got PFS at 18 and also continued taking things like Saw Palmetto, Pygeum, etc that I had no idea were 5ar inhibitors. I am now very happy after 16+ years of fighting this condition.

Hi TS, read my thread. Recovery is possible. Trust your body.

You are young. Be patient. You have to fight for it, don’t give up so easy. You’ll look back at this one day and realise I am correct. Stand up and fight back, give it time. You’ll figure it. Don’t waste your life, you’re too good for that.

Thank you all for your support but I do not see light at the end of the tunnel, if it is already hopeless to have pfs, imagine that I have to have the super pfs because as I told you, taking so dosed (one dose every 10 days of saw palmetto) has of having destroyed the alpha 5 reductase. I wish you the best of luck and a speedy recovery

You’ve received lots of positive messages. Don’t be the one to give up on u. Stick it out don’t throw your life away think of those that love you. You WILL get out of this it is very likely that you will improve with time alone.

Do you think I’ll improve despite having taken saw palmetto so regularly? all the people who get better take it regularly but I am the only one who has taken it that often because I thought it was vitamins without saw palmetto

So iregularly*

You have a good chance yes. Stop catastrophising and think positive. People have taken S P a lot longer than you as well as fin and minox etc.None of us are the same

Hey man don’t do it, we have a lot of good things happening that might benefit us in the future. The staff is doing all they can to get us the cure asap. We can’t let PFS beat us. I understand how you are feeling right now, I also had suicidal thoughts at the beginning, but I can tell you everything will get better with time.

If you need support or want someone to talk to, please send me a PM.

I’m not sure if it’s possible to set a timeline for a cure. Even if it’s 10 or 15 years. This is also something that @Sugarhouse emphasized. But what can be said is that the community is more organized and involved than 10 years before. We will definitely find the cure sooner or later, but time will tell when that will happen.

In the meantime donating to the new announced research will definitely bring us closer to the cure.

I think we should all buy lottery tickets. What if we win again?

The chances are not in your favor. Lotteries are made for compankrs to profit off , not the other way around. Same as casino.

Hello!
People of your age are prone to impulsive moves and maximalist view, and that’s absolutely normal. I used to be the same not so long ago. So I completely understand how it feels sometimes when you just can’t see any bright light ahead. I’ve been there too. And looking back upon my life I see a lot of mistakes, missed opportunities, stupid acts, periods of depression that seemed unbearable back then.

But you know what? I value my better moments so much more, I really appreciate all the connections with close people, and overall I’m glad I didn’t do anything stupid to myself. (Except continuing to take Roaccutane, but I consider it as an unfortunate accident). So I ask you not to do anything stupid to yourself. There will be a moment in life when you will trully appreciate it. Although it’s far from obvious now.

I have post fin sindrome in almost 10 years, since april 2012, and the awareness that this is the only life I have keeps me alive

1st post. Just joined the forum but have lurked for years. Been suffering since 2012 as well. Went from being a division 1 athlete with no issues to a disaster. Didn’t think I would make it. Time has improved a lot of issues but not back to my prior self. It can get better. It’s been interesting seeing how many more “success stories” there have been since first finding the forums back when it was all going on.
