I electroshocked my penis.

I acquired a TENS 3000 muscle stimulator from a friend. I started thinking “why not” and wrapped the current carrying pads right around my shaft. I turned the dial half way up and “Yee-Haaa!” I got a good shock, similiar to the shock I get when putting the pads in more common locations (i.e. lower back, back of neck). I share this because I have lost most of my sensitivity over the last year due to PRS. For example, I can not feel a pin prick to the head of my penis, and I am guessing that tactile simulation on my shaft is less than 20%. Yet I feel everything with the electric shock.

It makes me think things down there are just misfiring or that the signal is getting crossed or something.
Could it be that there are nerves below the surface that are being stimulated?
I was thrilled to feel something and it gives me hope. Is seems things down there are broken but not dead.

I’m going to give my prostrate and good zapping when I get a little alone time-wish me luck!

I was thinking about this same thing over the weekend. It wouldn’t hurt to start on the lowest settings before cranking it halfway up so your body can adjust slowly.

Good luck and let us know how it goes!

BTW, how do you use this on your prostate?

I researched a bit and made another post about this topic:

When i saw this thread i imagined a pfs sufferer putting his penis in a power socket and getting spikey hair.
Then with smoke coming off him.

It is interesting.
yes the problem is nerve related. You nerve must be affected by inflammation.

check this thread.

personnally it is an oedema which is pressing my nerve.

when i did the EMG of the perineum it revealed that indeed the signal was not getting through properly
(EMG of the perineum: basically making a signal artificially go through your erectil nerves and the test of other nerves also)

the interesting thing is that the day after having a lot of current pulses sent through my erectil nerves I had a surge of libido and my sensitivity was back again during one day.
It is not broken you have to free then nerves.

I’ve had the exact same thought. I believe I’ve made a post about it before. There’s not really much to say that would back it up from a scientific point of view, but I’ve had a neurologist stick a needle in my penis, and he said it retracted and reacted in a normal way. Also during blowjobs my physical reactions have been the same as what they used to be before fin (as in twitching etc.), even though I barely feel anything.

I’m ready to try anything!!!

interesting.

ther’s a thing i always turn around (my sovrapubic tension)
without getting a permanent solution to it

i noticed when it decrease, my pleasure sensitivity increase

because of our proteiform symptoms in that area, we hardly give a
right description

imao all depends on the sensation on lower belly
(prostate? nerves?..?)

after a long autobservation i was able to isolate the sensation that cause u an erection during visual stimulus, and i located it right there

one doc told me to try myiorelaxants, but i’m afraid because the have ED as side effect
someone tried it?

In case it does turn out that we are suffering from some kind of DHT-deprived neuropathy (because it’s unheard of in young guys like us w/o diabetes and trauma, etc.), I found a device called “The Rebuilder” which claims to treat neuropathy.

The Rebuilder Product Website (it’s covered my many popular American insurance companies):
rebuildermedical.com/

And…I don’t know if this is total bullshit spam marketing, but on this blog discussion, a person posts about using this device for his diabetes…and curing his E.D.:
revolutionhealth.com/forums/other/145880

[i]I’ve been using a device for my diabetic neuropathy and it has cured my ED.
The manufacturer said that while they don’t have any case studies or research into it, that many people have reported this. apparently the electronic signal that travels up and down the legs and accross the spine stimulates whatever has caused my penis issue…and no meds. What a blessing. Great to feel like a man again.

oh…the device is called the rebuilder and it’s meant for pain & numbness with neuropathy…good luck folks!

This seems to raise a handful of red flags. If you look at the FDA’s website, they sent out two warning letters to Rebuilder for violating permissible marketing practices. One of them for claiming that the device can cure numbness (amongst other things) and for selling some kit that was supposed to prevent or cure Swine Flu. (Remember that craze?)

This other website seems to logically disentangle the relevant problems with the device as well.

I’ve spoken with more than one neurologist and it seems like there is no ‘general’ treatment for neuropathy and you have to look at the causes of each specific case (if you can even find one). This company sells a device that may legitimately reduce pain (like acupuncture or aspirin) but is clearly engaging in deceptive and unethical marketing practices. Unfortunately, this is not uncommon in the medical industry as we have all discovered.

Yes, it looks very cheesy and infomercial-like, but I just threw it out there for consideration and discussion. Good work on researching it!

I also think that your problem is nerve-related. A urologist confirmed that I have a lack of sensitivity by pricking a pin into may glans. I didn’t feel anything. Before Finasteride I would have screamed in pain (only looking at the needle and the thought of sticking it into my glans would have made me scream already).
Many things could be the cause. It could be an odema pressing on the nerve as blasé said. It could be neuropathy. It could be damaged neurotransmitters etc.
Tlecum: keep us posted if you have improvements by applying the electroshocks.
