Hyperthiroidism episodes, anyone?

I have posted many times that i have a strong depression after fin, that it gets stronger after my body feels accelerated. I have tested Thyroid hormones many times after fin, and the results are always normal. But i think i have episodes of hyperthiroidism after an specific event triggers it. Does anyone know if that is possible?
In my case, it seems to be linked to an action to heal a wound or protect the body (against hunger for example).

Examples of what has happened:
i had a tooth pulled -> two days bad sleep, anxiety symptoms, tremors, agressiviness, diarrea, depression. Got better after couple of more days.

Acid reflux disease -> same body reaction

Now, i am having another dental problem, infection and inflammation of a root canal treated a couple of years ago -> i have been sleeping two or three hours a night for a week, strong diarrea, very agressive behavior, depression.

i am so so tired of this… this drains my whole energy. But this time this episode is taking so long to stop it is really reaching my limits. I have done everything i know to try to stop it, but relief lasts only a couple of hours. I have an appointment with an endocrinologist on the 17th, lets see if he finds something out.

if you had yperthyroid you should see it from blood tests… my mother has it and her blood tets are very clear cause she’s out of ranges at all .

Hi italy,
Thanks for the reply.
So i guess the best approach would be getting tested while having an episode like this. The problem is i always get tested while i am feeling “normal”… it is like a roller coaster, i have months that i am very calm, and then out of a sudden, it happens. I ll talk to my doctor.

Bro I had the same thing after a recent trip to the dentist. The stress of the situation completely threw me off. Happens when I get blood drawn too. I think it spikes our adrenals and they cannot recover quickly.

I’m getting tested for addisons disease as soon as I am able. It’s where your adrenals do not produce enough corto steriods, etc. They do a stimulation test and see how you respond.

Martin,

Be sure to let us know how that test turns out. My dog has addisons disease. We have to give her prednisone every day.
