Hydrogen Sulphide SIBO

Hi everyone. I think we should discuss hydrogen sulphide SIBO. We can get into the reasons why in another post. There is a potential mechanism that would explain the syndrome.

I got a very high reading (79ppb). I’ve had marked improvements in my symptoms by taking things that reduce SIBO and related inflammation (Pepto Bismol, antibiotics, lansoprazole).

Has anyone else done:

  • Hydrogen Sulphide SIBO test? (If so, what was your reading)

  • Pepto Bismol (or other bismuth)?

  • Antibiotics, in particular doxycycline or clarythromycin?

  • Lansoprazole?

We need to understand if this is a common factor. If it is, we could have an avenue for understanding the condition. Please reply below.

I realise some answers to my questions are written: if they have already been reporting in this forum, I have seen them.
