Did anyone listen to the Jan 5 2011 broadcast? One of his employees (can’t remember which one) apparently takes Propecia (actually he said he takes generic Proscar from India). Howard asked him the side effects and the employee replied that he has aches in his genitals and gets winded at night when lying down. Howard and cast gave him a hard time about the side effects and his reasoning for taking it. Then Gary (the producer) stated some of the listed side effects from the internet. Howard then proceeds to say something like (paraphrased), “you have no idea what that stuff can do to you in the long run”.

I’ve tried to find a transcript of the show to no avail, or I would have posted more detail. Anyways, I’d be willing to bet Howard would speak out against the drug given his track record. Anyone want to write him an email and give it a shot?

Go ahead and try to e-mail or call in. There’s a chance that if Stern hears about the permanent/long-term side effects from Propecia, he’ll at least make a point of ridiculing this moron about taking it, thereby amplifying our awareness. Maybe even have the PH twitter account tweet Stern’s about it, or maybe “Sal”'s, if he has one.

I sent a short email to the staff, so we’ll see. I figured a short to the point would be best for a show of that magnitude. Even if he just mentions it for a minute to bust Sal’s balls, it would be worth it.

Do they check their twitter through the show? Is it still a radio show where they take calls?

I’m sure they check twitter. And yes, they still take calls even on Sirius XM radio.

At least this guy has Howard Stern warning him about sides…
I took fin and no one knew 'cept my roommate and he never even commented on it at all even though I had a lot of hair. Of course, the asswipe told my friends I was using Viagra behind my back…c**t!

I think its on Sirius now. I don’t think they do many calls unless its incorporated into some stunt like the lesbian dating game or whatever.

Very true. Not that you say that, I usually only hear celebs or whatever calling in these days.

Just an update:

During one of the shows about a month or two ago, Sal said he came off of propecia and the sides went away.
Then he said something about his psychologist diagnosing him with some type of depersonalization disorder during the wrap-up show earlier this week. hmm…

and what about KC Armstrong…, I mean who the hell has ED in their 20s besides some of us? (don’t answer that, I realize many guys do because of various physical problems, but still seems relatively rare) It makes me wonder if he ever took something that affected him.
