My FSH levels have been low since my first post-propecia blood test. My levels have ranged from 1.5-2.2 mIU/mL. Does anyone know how to permanently increase FSH levels? Thank you!
Here is some information:
◦Intentional (iatrogenic) secondary hypogonadism: Prolonged administration of high doses of anabolic steroids (by athletes) or GnRH analogs (for prostate cancer) can cause low FSH or LH levels. Recovery may take many months or years after cessation of the drug. Source: emedicine.medscape.com/article/118810-overview.
and that explains my watery semen…Before propecia I didn’t have bloodwork done so I’m not sure what the FSH levels were…but I do know my semen volume was very heavy.
So we know one thing…Our FSH levels are screwed up from this drug along with LH levels.
I did some research and came across HMG injections. It suppose stimulate FSH and LH levels. You need to get a doctor to give you a prescription for this…
Only take these drugs under strict supervision.
I have a feeling we are getting closer…A lot of us have low FSH levels.
The prostate is responsible for the majority of seminal fluid production and hence, volume/force… the testes/seminiferous tubules for sperm.
Since Finasteride atrophies and involutes (loss of function) the prostate, it makes sense that we experience a reduction in fluid output.
Low FSH indicates fertility (sperm) issues – decreased output of seminal fluid is primarily due to prostate shrinkage after Finasteride.
Mew,
So since the prostate isnt functioning properly, how does one’s prostate get back to normal…Do low FSH levels alter the prostate’s proper function?
Androgens.

I don’t know the answer to that question, haven’t researched it. But I doubt it affects the prostate much, as FSH is related to fertility and sperm production.
