How many here crashed while ON Finasteride?

Hi all.

I would like to know if there are more people like me that actually crashed while TAKING Finasteride?

I basically have the same neurological symptoms when I crashed on Fin, (I remember the morning I woke up, after a night of intensive sexual activity, feeling completely different cognitively) as now, 15 months post-Fin. The “only” things that have gotten worse post-Fin are post-orgasm crashes and cognitive reactions to different foods.

Did some of you also develop your main symptoms while taking Finasteride, which then persisted?

All of my symptoms developed while taking fin, first the anxiety then everything over the years. However 6 years ago I was due to have surgery and stopped the fin, coming out of the anaesthetic my skin was extremely dry and i pissed like horse. Both symptoms have remained, unfortunately I re started the fin as up until 4.5 years later didn’t know this was the cause.

How long did you take Fin in total?

20 years, I have every side and a few additional others. I stopped over a year ago when I finally realised the cause

I took Fin for 8-9 years.

I realized it was the cause of my symptoms two years after I had the cognitive crash I am dealing with now. Now that I look back, I just wonder why it took me so long to realize it was Finasteride that was the cause of it.

the term “crash” on finasteride or upon stopping it is somehow confusing. because using it longterm is doing a constant harm over time. over the years o got an introvert, dont wanna experience new things, lost ambition and became some sort of a p*ssy. so ON fin i didnt actually crash but rather degenerate but didnt really notice it!!!
then came the BANG, i stopped, DHT back hitting overepressed androgen receptors…i was in god mode for like 2 months.
then faced to unexpexted and unchaingable stressors i “crashed” with insomia,anxiety and despair

I crashed while on fin. Developed brain fog, muscle twitches, severe depression, fatigue, muscle wastage, etc.

I crashed also when on Fin. Had used it for around 10-11 years.
Looking back, I think the first things that were noticeable were when drinking alcohol. I didnt have the “feeling high” anymore when drinking. Just thought it was the age and that alcohol is not good for me anymore. But the truth was really something else. Then I started to have nauseous feeling and also decreased sensitivity on my penis. And when this had happened a few months, then crash at one night. That night was my birthday.

2 years before this I had been going trough some really tough and mentally stressful things which just keep going and going and become worse and worse. I just felt it, that my body cannot handle this for long anymore and I was right. And after all this, I think my adrenals failed and then followed the whole system + PFS on top of that. So the whole jackpot =)
