How many have used Finasteride for over 5 years and when did the symptoms start?

Hey Everyone,

I had used Propecia/Proscar for about 8 years and quit last week due to weird unexplained symptoms.

I wanted to know how many of you guys have used it longer than 5 years and also when did your major symptoms start?

For me, I did not have any real major issues till about 10 months ago, so approximately 7 years into my use of finasteride. For me the real problems started with mental issues, such as anxiety, depression and brain fog. Looking back on my years taking this stuff, I did have some minor issues with ED , but I always blamed it on being tired or just in the wrong mood. There was also some issues, with having less chest/back hair, problems building muscle and penile shrinkage, but I never thought this was all related.

It is just funny, how long it took my body to finally give me the strong signals that I must quit this drug.

I think (based on observation of strories here) it doen’t matter you use it for 10 days or 10 years. The story starts once you start feeling the sides,whether they start after 5 days or after 5 years once they set in then your trouble starts.

me about 5 yrs noticing nothing
last months some side, so i quitted

than after some months: crash

unfortunately my body adviced me too late
