How long have you guys been suffering from PFS? Have you got any better on the sexual side effects since then?
Since 2008. I’ve gotten worse at the 5th year of PFS (shrinkage and penis pain, didn’t have those before).
7 years, took it when I was 20 in college. Sexual sides haven’t improved but I also took an ssri right after getting pfs.
Year or so.
One year
1 yrs
1 year. No improvement on sexual sides.
6 months.
2.5 years.
7 years.
2 years
14 years and one week.
44% of my life as crazy as that sounds.
Got any better?
Three months
4-5 years, probably at a stage now where I don’t think of PFS of every minute of everyday and that alone is a massive help, awful anxiety and mild depression are gone, sleep is also good, libido is crap but can work on that with things like Tribulus, erections are ok I guess but I take cialis just incase and for the most part I’m able to have good pleasurable sex. I do believe at some point I will recover

Will be 19 years around October. I can have sex once or twice a week unless I take amino acids which greatly improves my symptoms and I can have sex every day then.

I’ve been in full blown pfs for 2.5 years but looking back I think I may of had some symptoms the entire time I took the medication (started in January 2008).
20 years for me didn’t realise I had PFS until just over a year ago when I immediately stopped taking it. So had increasing symptoms over the years without knowing the source. Now they are full blown and I have everything. It’s really bad but I hope things start to improve/settle down at some point
20 years for me as well, and over half my life with “post-accutane” PFS. Things seemed to naturally improve for me up to a high point between 25 and 30 years old, then a slow decline up until an ill-advised treatment attempt last Fall. I went the first 11 years believing this was a simple hormonal issue that could be fixed until putting the pieces together and realizing Accutane gifted me with this endless nightmare.
In the early years an endocrinologist suggested Accutane might be the culprit but I had never heard of such a thing as a permanent side effect and found it hard to believe the FDA would allow something capable of this to be sold to children.
This is just the way it goes. Some people get fucked in life and sometimes the ones doing the fucking become very wealthy in the process. The worst of it all is probably being laughed at in disbelief when explaining this condition to someone.
