I know the half life but people say days. I’ve only had half a pill.
The half life of the main compound is only 6-7 hours IIRC. But some of it will have attached with the 5 AR complex and made a covalent binding.
So it will remain disabled until it’s recycled. Which is once a month or so.
This is why fin is a “suicide inhibitor”. Because once it’s bound, it won’t release again.
You can think of 5 AR like a tunnel, in normal operation T goes in one end and DHT comes out the other.
But while fin goes in on one side, it clogs the tunnel up and it won’t work again until the body has drilled another hole.
It’s probably part of the problem yes.
Also it’s why only a small amount of finasteride is so potent.
