High blood pressure medication

Hi all. Does anyone take high blood pressure medication. I used to take losartan and amplodipine before finasteride, but now they cause me a lot of grief such as severe depression which I didn’t have that before taking finasteride

How do you know you have high blood pressure, do you have a machine at home and take 3 or 4 readings per day?

I always had it and took prescribed medication

I took lisinopril for a few months to treat hypertension that was first detected during my first “post-Accutane” checkup. It went from being considered pre-hypertension, to full-blown hypertension, after ten years of PAS and the doctor insisted on pharmaceutical intervention.

I began cutting excess salt from my diet and was able to ditch the drug within 6 months. The only side effects I noticed were the “lisinopril cough” and occasional aches in the sides of my lower back (kidneys?).

Have you tried diet and lifestyle changes and still have high BP?
Or tried switching to a different class of anti-hypertensive?

“Always had it” As in you went to your doctor, he took a reading and prescribed you pills?

I will speak to my doctor, @Dubya_B, thanks
