Here's a novel idea

Since many of us are most likely eating better now since we stopped Propecia, why don’t we try something different? What about eating red meat, red meat, red meat, fries, burgers, chicken nuggets, etc., and see if this makes a difference?

Another thought I had was – and this is very hypothetical – using a anabolic steroid (synthetic testosterone) for a short cycle.

I’m probably gonna get a lot of flak for this post, but nothing else so far has worked, right?

Diet has nothing to do with genital tissue fibrosis and atrophy, for one.

Testosterone on the other hand may help, as it’s an androgen that many around here find crashes to low levels once they come off the drug.

And yes, this is a ridiculous and in my opinion, useless and forum-spamming/cluttering post. The only thing eating unhealthy will do for you is clog your arteries, make you gain weight, and feel like shit – common sense I would think for most.

whats the point?
even for a normal person eating that sort of stuff in excess will make them feel ill
what are you trying to prove by doing this

Maybe red meat will increase the amount of 5 alpha reductase in us? I don’t know if you’ve notice but not much has worked. I haven’t had red meat since pre Propecia, so I’m throwing out ideas. I’m trying to think outside of the box here my man.

I don’t think red meat will do the trick.

Not to belittle anyone or anyone’s ideology, but the concept of just eating a food that we eat everyday somehow curing a major illness/disorder is rather close to impossible.

It would be like if you have a cold and someone tells you to drink orange juice and it will cure the cold. While the vitamin C in orange juice may HELP in preventing a cold, it won’t do much except irritate your throat while sick (weak acid).

There is nothing in red meat that will dramatically help people like us. The only thing I can think of is that red meat has higher Iron and Zinc concentrations, but not so much that it stands out among high iron and zinc foods. The nutrients in red meat can be found in many other foods.

Besides, if this were the cure-all substance, I’m sure someone who have done so by now.

Red meat is higher in fat and cholesterol than most if not all food, and not the good kind of fat either. I knwo there’s a connection between cholesterol and testosterone, so perhaps there’s also a connection to 5 alpha reductase.

Since I stopped Propecia, I have been trying to eat as healthy in order to reduce levels of DHT in me. My contention is that perhaps I am prolonging my already suppressed DHT levels by continuing to stop more DHT from activating by eating such foods, and maybe a truly bad diet of red meat only would help kick start things. If anything, you can’t deny that this is an interesting proposal.

The procedure itself isn’t so much interesting as you so determined to enact this. That is interesting.

You’re welcome to try whatever you want, but I don’t expect it to produce any results that will ebb your symptoms.
