I haven’t used phosphatidylserine, but i did some adaptogens like rhodiola and ashwagandha and they had an effect on me like sleep is improved, there are no more palpitations etc.
Also, caffeine is really bad for me, if you are planning to reduce cortisol, elimination of it should be the first step.
Effects of fasting on hpa axis… Could this explain improvements with fasting ?!

“Fasted rats were not able to activate their HPA axis, as shown by unchanged concentrations of plasma adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH).”
“In line with the animal findings, fasted subjects were not able to activate the HPA axis in response to stress, as evident by blunted free cortisol responses.”
Before you decrease your cortisol please visit some Adrenal insufficiency forums. People there are suffering for not having enough cortisol. We have both high cortisol (moon face and fat behind neck, body hair loss etc) and low cortisol ( low BP, fatigue, cold extremities etc.). I have higher than normal blood cortisol and lower than normal saliva cortisol. We have low all/most of free hormones. interestingly my SHBG is low too.
that is why i want to try herbs and not something like dexamethason.
i have little hight cortisol, and hydrocortisone make my symptoms worse
