Hello ALL...

Hey toadstool,

First off congrats on your progress man! I’m glad that the actions you’ve undertaken are moving you in the right direction. Thanks for coming back to share your findings.

On your penile sensitivity… can you elaborate a bit? Has it improved gradually throughout the course of your regimen? Where was it initially? (ie… I’d guess my current sensitivity is like 30%-40% of what it should be)

Do you use any drugs/herbs to assist in the bedroom?

Thanks for the feedback,

Everyone has one form of metabolic syndrome. Find yours.

"The problem is that cortisol (along with epinephrine) is also a sympathetic nervous system hormone involved in the “flight or fight” response. This response includes an increase in heart rate and lung action and an increase in blood flow to skeletal muscles to help us defend against or flee from danger. Cortisol’s role is to increase the amount of glucose available to the brain, enhance tissue repair, and curb functions – like digestion, growth and reproduction – that are nonessential or even detrimental in a fight or flight situation. "

This is PFS in a nutshell people…

Komas- If you consider food a drug… then yes. Why are you so focused on my individual symptoms? My sensitivity is fine. It feels nice when its in a vagina. Focus on the ideology of the treatment, not the state of my dick.

Yikes… not the response I was expecting. I’m not really worried about your dick bro. What I was curious about was simply your estimation of how much your sensitivity improved as a result of your protocol. It helps to gauge how much progress I should expect from this kind of strategy. It’s just a question though… if you’re not comfortable with answering it that’s cool.

Thanks for your detailed initial post in any case.
Cheers,

I’d love to try to see if I could duplicate your results. Where did you buy your grass fed bone broth? How much did you drink? Was one cup a day enough to see benefits?

You ungrateful little shit!

I was drinking 5 cups a day

How did you get the bone broth? I went to whole foods and they had no clue. Did you make it yourself? I really appreciate you coming back here and posting about your recovery.

yes we have lost collagen and elastine besides many things. bone soup will help with collagen loss.

toadstool

it takes quit a lot of time to cook bone broth (you said you ate it 5 times a day).
I think I cannot handle that with my work.
What do you think?

Joetz- That’s stunning. It’s quite easy, all you need is soup bones(100% grass fed),distilled water (smart water), and a crock pot. You can find out how all over the web, just search.

Keepup- I can understand that. Make a bunch on the weekends and freeze for later use or eat McDonald’s.

I don’t want you all to think that I think that bone broth is some miracle cure that I’m touting. It will definitely help relief some symptoms but its not a cure all and that’s not what I meant by posting about it. In fact, one PSFer, who will remain nameless did the exact same thing I did. We pretty much worked as a team and have the same overall belief, and he isnt doing any better per say. Although his situation is much more complex then my own and probably anyone else’s for that matter… Its all about relieving systemic inflammation. I know, sounds so easy right? If you want me to get into more detail I’d say look into testing TH1-TH2 testing, and find out which is more dominant pathway of your immune system and look into getting a Metametrix stool test for the love of god. Then supplement accordingly. When your immune system gets out of whack, infections arise. I have a proven fungal infection, (fungus/yeast). Whats this from? Abusing my body by taking antibiotics and Propecia. When you put your body into a Fight or Flight state, your body WILL SHUT DOWN SEXUAL FUNCTION because it does not need it to function. That’s why your dicks are numb. Remove infections, find causes of systemic inflammation, and I promise you your dick will work again. But if you keep injecting your ass w/ more hormones, I promise you, you will NEVER get better. EVER. And don’t sit looking on this website for 6 hours a day. Its counter productive. When I come on , it’s only to check out my own personal thread to help you all. The mods of this forum will not help you, they simply do not know what the hell they are talking about. Obviously the approach they’re taking IS NOT WORKING. The only ones who got help were the ones who thought outside the box and didn’t sit on this forum for 6 hours a day, waiting and hoping for the next person to cite the next cool supplement to try. Now excuse me while I go bake in the sun on this glorious 86 degree day here in the windy city.

Can’t fault that advice to be honest. He is right. Look at anyone that has recovered on this website. Look at what JN, IHP, CDnuts have done/ are doing.

Toadstool, have you looked at hs CRP (C-reactive protein) as a measure of systemic inflammation? the guy is the article below drastically reduced inflammation levels that gave him cancer using the paleo diet, magnesium and cold thermogenesis.

jackkruse.com/cold-thermogenesis-11-paleo-fx-to-practice/

What are TH1-TH2?

How long have your “basic recovery” lasted?

CRP simply put is a bad marker of inflammation. Its totally unreliable. In Jack’s case he had SEVERE inflammation caused from IE: CANCER. None of us, as bad it may appear to be, have that bad of inflammation going on. Otherwise we would register high CRP’s, if you do have high CRP then you should be worried. Jack is a tad nuts, especially about his cold thermogenesis, but I do enjoy some of his blog postings. He even told me that he believed that PFS really comes down to systemic inflammation via responding to some of my questions that I wrote him on his blog.

Th1 and TH2 are cytokines. (T-cells and B-Cells). They regulate the immune system. You want balance, but I would say we all pretty much have a dominant pathway and that is not how it is suppose to be. In my case, 90% of hashimoto’s patients are TH1 dominant. Meaning stimulating the TH2 system would help bring balance to my immune system. Thus turning down the volume of my auto-immune condition. You can’t cure it, but remission is very possible. Its a process, Its going to take me probably 3-4 months to figure it out and work out the kinks. Another example of a TH1 dominant disorder is candidiasis.

dont misguide people. JN did not recover, CDnuts never tooke any treatment, he only used herbal supplements. IHP claims to have recovered only future will tell use whether his recovery persists. JN and many other claimed many times to have recovered.
Please don’t make baseless claims.

You are spot on Striken; I have to say to you are very tempered in your analysis of recoveries, and, I wish that attribute was shared by more people on this board. I read about a purported recovery the other day that went thus: “Xxxx has essentially recovered, but he still feels tired at the end of the day and is also lacking in his zest for life.” In other words, this chap is probably on the cusp of losing his job and his mediocre output at work has ended any realistic chance at career advancement. He also has a demanding girlfriend (I have never met one that isn’t), and his long time buddies are secretly jealous (most of them have gauged him very carefully and are jealous; if they weren’t jealous they wouldn’t hang around, or, indeed befriend him to begin with) of his past achievements and think that it is his own tough luck that he has fallen victim to an elaborate booby trap set-up by unconscionable, poorly hung products of incestuous union, running one of the world’s biggest pharmaceutical companies.

The only tidbit that may be of some interest and support the immune systems line of reasoning is in my case, about the time I was crashing I happened to have a colonoscopy. The G.I. doc that performed it said the weird rectal pain I’d been feeling intermittently was Proctitis ‘probably an auto immune’ condition.

I have been making broths from a very quality stocks company called more than gourmet. Tonight however, I made my first batch using bones. I filled up a huge pot and put some salt, pepper and rosemary. I let it simmer for about 5 hours. I thought I was going to end up with a big pot of broth, being such a clutz and not realizing it was going to all reduce. Anyways, when I came back to it and poured all of the broth out through a strainer, I ended up with about one cup of broth. I was very dissapointed, however I found it very funny and found myself laughing very hard and genuine, which is something I have not done much since this finasteride nightmare began. I was surprised at myself and it felt really, really good to laugh and mean it. Anyways, back to the drawing board on the bone broths. I guess I will stick with the more than gourmet stocks from now on.

I did not say CDnuts used any treatment. I said that he used fasts and raw/ paleo dieting. Check his post history.

Sure, they might not be fully recovered but there doing a damn sight better than most.

Use a crock pot, if not then make sure u use a lid.

toadstool
I wonder how is going your recovery.
