Hellish side effects after my first few days (text wall)

I know I’m not a PFS sufferer but I can’t be arsed to make an account on a hair loss forum to discuss this. Hair loss is not a major part of my life; I’m an NW 1.5 and I use Nizoral a few times a week. For four days, I started taking a 5mg/8 dose of Fincar (finasteride) per day and experienced side effects I’ve never had before. I just got a new job on Monday and from the very start after taking fin, I became worried that the sides would be detrimental to my job performance but I continued taking it in the hopes that they would go away by day 4. THEY DIDN’T.

On:
Thursday: Soon after first dose (sublingual), major face flushing and brain fog. Almost like mild cannabis or opiates.
Friday: Horrid tension headaches and hot flashes throughout the day, irritable, and in the evening I began having heart palpitations.
Saturday: All the same effects and worsening heart palpitations. Anxiety sets in.
Sunday: Hours after my last dose, the chills were so bad that I still had goosebumps after spending an hour in a hot tub. Extreme irrational anxiety.

Off:
Monday: Effects from Sunday’s dose continue. I start a fairly lucrative marketing job and I felt far more anxious than I should have. I could barely understand what people were saying; my brain feels full of lead. Chills, hot flashes, pale in the face, very “soft” looking, horrible palpitations. Nightmare.
Tuesday: Nothing has changed besides stopping fin on Sunday, but the effects have largely subsided. Heart palpitations lessen.
However, I don’t understand why I’d feel such an immediate difference after stopping the fin since I know it lowers DHT for like a week.

Is this normal? This was one of the most hellish experiences of my life. Has anyone else had such a quick onset of apparent side effects, and such a quick reduction in sides after stopping?

This is a forum for guys with longterm side effects from the drug. Are you planning to continue? If so post on hair loss sites. If not, hopefully your issues will resolve completely in time and you will be on your way.

I wouldnt count out anything with this drug. You should be aware of the fact that many guys have a brief recovery from the side effects after quitting the drug, only for the side effects return a couple weeks later.
