HCG & also getting BLOOD TESTS! What should I say?

ANYONE KNOW ABOUT TAKING HCG ??
My roomate is a bodybuilder, and coincidentally has taken steroids, and so coincidentally is telling me he can get me some HCG tomorrow for $50. No joke! How lucky am I ?? Two vials you mix he says. shoot it in ur butt, and gives you a jump start I guess. Guess it gets your nads goin again. Does this stuff work, and is it good?
Think this is safe, and could give me a nice jump start, so I can start finding solid wood again when I want too??

Also, BLOOD TESTS :
I want to ask my dermatologist about getting blood tests done tomorrow. WHAT SHOULD I SAY? Does anyone know what the blood testing criteria are? I’ve seen people getting tested for everything, long lists of different stuff, but is there just something easier I can tell the blood lab?? … like gimme a comprehensive, full testing, testosterone, full hormones and everything tests or something? Can i just tell them that? Is that good enough? because what if my derm does not know much, or say much, either that or acts like he doesn’t know much, so if he plays the innocent game, the blood lab is in the same building, he actually made me get tested for something else before he even prescribed it, so anyway I want to try to go immediately straight down to the lab anyway and get BLOOD TESTS TOMORROW. WHAT SHOULD I SAY? Its a pretty busy blood lab.

And btw. I’ve seen HCG being talked about all over for this. On this site too. Says it helps bring the body back into balance, metastasis or whatever. I want to get my blood tests first too of course, so I know what the baseline is too of course, but have heard a lot of body builders who are coming off of steroids use it to keep their body’s in balance when their body’s aren’t producing enough testosterone! is that right?? ANyway, I’ll tell you something else. A lot of doctors are full of shit, and don’t really know much of what they’re talking about anyway. Sorry to post this blasphemy, but idk… I’ve just heard HCG is good to give a boost!! ?? No!? I’ll ask a doctor about it though… ok!

Do not jump onto HCG right away. You have no bloodtests to give yourself a baseline prior to starting such a drug, which should be done in conjunction with a doctor or at the very least after MUCH personal research… not just jumping blindly onto something.

I understand your concern at thsi stage but do not make such rash decisions or you may end up worse off in the long run, and not be able to pinpoint Finasteride as the sole cause of your problems.

Regarding bloodtests, there is a list in both the FAQ and Hormones & Bloodtests section of this site, please see them there. Out of that list, most important would be:

Total Testosterone
Free (Bioavailable) Testosterone
DHT
Estradiol (E2)
LH
FSH
SHBG
TSH
Prolactin

Others if you can get them:
CBC or FBC (Complete Blood Count/Full Blood Count)
LFT (Liver Function Test - AST, ALT, etc.)
DHEA-s
Estrone (E1)
Total Estrogens
Cortisol
Progesterone
Albumin
PSA

Thanks a lot Mew, would I have to pay beaucoup bucks to have them test all these things? Because I wonder if they just do them all individually… seems like a lotta work. but so I guess I will bring them this list.

also, on a side note. I’ve always wanted to be tested for other things such as blood sugar levels and stuff like that… FOr concentration, hyperactivity and stuff like that. you know what I mean. I wonder if I should tell them to test me for everything??!

If you are paying out of pocket it may add up to a couple hundred dollars, my guess. If insurance covers it, it won’t cost you much if anything.

But most places require you to have a doctor’s signature on the blood test sheet he would give you, giving permission for you to get the tests… at least in Canada… dunno how it works in the US.

By the way, the whole reason for the studies section in this site is so you can have some proof to bring with you, if the doc doesnt believe what you’re talking about. There are studies showing the effect of Finasteride on hormones, etc., it just depends if the doc will be willing to hear you out and your “theories”… most likely they will just brand you a loony or tell you everything is in your head, and that you don’t know what you are talking about when it comes to the medical field.

Hence why you need to research and understand what is going on with regards to Endocrinology, 5AR receptors, neurosteroids the function of DHT, Testosterone, Estrogens, what happens when you use Finasteride… etc. It’s all on this site.

HCG will shut your HPTA down, unless you plan on following it with Nolva and Clomid you are going about this wrong.

Do you even know your T, LH and FSH levels ?

jim, what if I get my blood work done quickly, then I just try to jump start my dick back up, so it doesn’t atrophy or rubberize, or what not. I know I’m being paranoid but its been hurting a lot now, and I’m scared. It feels shrunken and unusable, unhealthy. I am scared. Will HCG do anything, or what about clomid? Where can I get clomid, or both of these things?

Listen bro, do not self-medicate at this point. Get all your hormone levels checked and then work with an endocrinologist to come up with a plan. You will only worsen your condition if you start taking more drugs yourself.
