Have to make a difficult decission

Hi Guys

I have to make a decisson…
But first some information:

Now my cousin is taking proscar(same like propecia–>fin i think) quartered a day for almost 1 and a 1/2 year because he got suddenly very aggressive hair loss.
While he was losing his hair he was very depressive…(like everyone)
Then he started to take proscar after EVERY doctor (6) adviced him that pill.
And hell it was like a wonder…the big almost baldly circle on his head disappeared and the hair on his head was normal…like “former times”…
After that "wonder"he was so happy and enjoyed live again and i thought : great, it will be also(in the future) usefull for me because i got very light hair loss and i know i’am going to lose it in the future (vather uncles grandfathers have also lost it) but i don’t want to lose it too. Some days ago i started to inform myself about it and i found those bad sideeffects…

Immediately i asked my cousin whether his physical and sexual conditions are normal…and he said everything is perfect…

Now i don’t know whether to tell him about the sideeffects or not.

Because i know that he is going to be very depressive to loose his hair…
and i thought maybe he is one of those persons (i don’t know whether they excist really) who have a body that accepts finasteride…
and i don’t want to dash him into depression…

I have also read some members stories in this forum but i’m still not about what to do…

what do you think about it…??

regards

Very simple: everyone here will tell you NOT to take it.

It’s a crapshoot – you may or may not get side effects. If you do, they may or may not resolve after you quit. The drug has unpredictable responses and nobody can tell you if you will have problems, because nobody knows before they take it.

That’s the gamble. We all gambled and lost, found out the hard way that Merck lied when they said all side effects would go away and we’d return back to normal after quitting. Instead, everything just got WORSE.

If the existence of this forum, screwed up hormones, physical changes to genitalia and body and the studies contained within are not enough to make you think twice, nobody can stop you. It’s your life, do as you wish.

Read the FAQ at top of site to understand what you might potentially be dealing with should things go horribly wrong (rare, but happens as we can all attest to).

Don’t take it.
