Has anyone taken bile acids? Any negative effects?

Hi has anyone here taken bile acids to aid in digestion. There was some recovery (couldn’t find it) where some guy was taking bile acids. Curious if anyone has taken it and if you had, what was your experience, anything negative that can come from it? I’m thinking not an issue.

bile acid is known to VERY helpfull and good for the body…i would like to try it myself at some point

Yeah, it helps you digest fats properly. I read that if you have floating stool or diarrhea, it could be a sign of fat digestion issues and a need for bile acids.

Bile acid and estrogen definitely have a relationship that I have just found out. This is actually looking towards possible connection between the digestive system and our hormone screw ups. Increased estrogens = decreased bile acids.

Here’s another interesting tidbit that sounds eerily similar to what’s going on around here…

not sure if people have been tested here or not for bile acids or if it’s possible… but i just remember that one dude who took bile acids and had a recovery, does anyone remember who i am talking about? he posted in the recovery section, i’m goign to go try to find it again. he said he went to his doctor and his doctor recommended him to take bile acid because it helps clear out estrogen and to also eat a lot of vegetables.

Interesting. Never heard of this one…what would you take to increase bile acid?

you can buy bile acids in supplement form. kinda like how you can buy digestive enzymes. there are also other random foods that increase bile acids like beet juice.

but holy shit i just realized something. if bile acids allow you to properly digest fat, CHOLESTEROL IS A FAT. Cholesterol is the at the top of the chain for many hormones that are involved in PFS. maybe this is a big part of the puzzle…

has anyone been tested for bile acids or has taken it for long periods of time that can comment?

I’ve been on them pretty regularly for a couple of months, along with a largely paleo diet. No change as yet though. Will keep you updated if things happen. I intend to be on them for at least 6 months before making a full judgement.
