i am 9 months off the drug i have very bad dry skin that Nasolabial fold has formed and have become very prominent because of dry skin…is their any way to treat this plz reply
Since Propecia can cause DHEA-Deficiency (like in my case) which causes dry eyes and skin (buzzle.com/articles/low-dhea … ptoms.html) you should make a blood test for DHEA(S). If there’s a deficiency DHEA-supplementation might help you.
BTW: I’ve just posted my theory on DHEA-Deficiency and dental problems here: propeciahelp.com/forum/viewt … 7&start=40
Unfortunatelly it was yesterday that I took my first DHEA-capsule, so I can’t talk about the benefits yet. What I can say is that I too have really dry skin (as well as a significant DHEA-Deficiency).
yes… dry skin is something that often goes away. I also had extremly dry and brittle hair and dry skin. Its much better now. My hair texture is back to normal and my hair is more oily. I think nasobial folds is a result of facial collagen loss. I had it too.
but my dry skin isnt going away and because of it nasobial folds is becoming very prominent…i need to see my dermatologist…fucking fin
Before PFS, people guessed my age was 10 years younger, consistently. I considered it a problem for me when it comes to getting respect from others when judged by appearance. And now, people guess within 2 to 3 years of my age.
So I got serious about skin care as part of my recovery plan.
Here’s my list of products beyond the typical vitamins for skin health:
Skin-AlphaHydrox Toner Astringent
Skin-AlphaHydrox Enhanced Lotion
Skin-AlphaHydrox Night Cream
Skin-Hyaluronic Serum
Skin-Lubriderm Advanced Therapy Lotion
Skin-Perfect Image Lactic Acid facial peel (this is as good as any expensive peel at a derm office. Great for sunspots, melasma)
Skin-Sunscreen 30 to 100spf
Skin-BioOil w/PureCellin
Skin-Pycnogenol 100mg (oral tablet)
Skin-Phytoceramides w/Lipowheat (oral caps)
It’s important to establish a daily/nightly routine and be consistent. I’ve used these for the past 3 months and definitely notice the improvements. But years of sun exposure requires me to do repeated skin peels at least once a month. Sun screen is vital, even if you don’t have direct sun exposure.
I would literally kill to hear a full breakdown of your protocol towm8er.
