Is there any treatment available at the hospital, or what CAN I do
I have extremely dry eyes. I use eye drops but they’re just a temporary relief.
I have blurry vision in my left eye. It seems like it’s being caused by an overproduction of mucous. When I wake up there is a lot of gunk in the corner of my eye
Anyone know of anything I can do to calm down the mucous membranes in the eye? There must be something I can do to help
Comment for people struggling with dry-eyes:
There are operations you can have to block your tear-ducts.
They place a small medical device into the tear-ducts, to block.
The liquid will then remain on your eyeball surface, as I understand.
Those are for people with a particularly bad dry-eye issue.
Personally use the following:
- Eye drops, Thealoz Duo variety
- Use a humidifier at home, so the air isn’t dry
- Air-conditioned environments make it worse, so less time in offices
- Use sport-style sunglasses outdoors - the kind with a large coverage around your eyes … So that wind doesn’t blast into your eyes and remove moisture.
I had dry burning eyes in the beginning, it would come in waves with dry mouth too. For me it was one of those symptoms that eventually went away on it’s own. I’m not sure what it was but it was isolated from a lot of my other symptoms and it going away didn’t correlate with much but just generally improving.
