Hair Loss due to Propecia Recovery

Hello, I’m new here.

I took Propecia for around 9 months. As a 27 year old male, my hair wasn’t too awful- I went to various Dermatologists and hair loss specialists who said I would never be “Bald”. I noticed when I took Propecia, the front of my hairline got much worse. I began thinning in that area, and noticing more. That, coupled with the other sexual sides, and I got off the medication after 9 months. I now noticed, after being off a month, my hair is in it’s worst shape yet. I keep shedding and losing more and more hair- Is this ever going to recover, or did I just exacerbate my hair loss by taking this stupid drug? Any and all advice or recovery stories would be appreciated.

Maybe it’s possible. Sometine propecia increase hair loss…
It’s the same with minoxidil.

Everything I say is in the list of side effect.

But I have no solution, maybe someone else ?

Please note that this is not a hairloss forum. Unless you are suffering from persistent sexual, mental or physical side effects after quitting the drug, this is not the right place for you. If loosing your hair is your only problem at this point, consider yourself lucky and get on with your life.

He speak about hair loss like a side effect of propecia I think. This is the right place for talk.

I think, originally he had no problem, maybe after taking propecia his hair no longer resistant to DHT (I seem to have seen a study going in this direction).
So it’s important to talk about it and cite it as a side effect. I hope you agree. :wink:
