Hair "Experiences" From Us Older Guys - To The Younger Guys

I share this for you younger guys - FYI - just in case your thoughts are going like mine did 30 years ago.

I started taking Propecia at age 55 (same age still), not because I wanted to but because I HAD TO. After 4 hair transplants starting at age 27 and (of course) all the hair transplanted to the front of my head, I eventually “ran out of hair” to move.

By age 50 and with a scalp as tight-as-a-drum, I started looking like all of those friars/monks you see - the top of my head had nothing and I had a “ring” of hair in the front, sides, and back. I was a freak and my only options were (1) get the transplanted hair totally taken out or (2) Propecia to try to fill in the crown area.

Lucky for me, Propecia did regenerate my hair and filled it in completely on the top of my head where now it looks like I was never even bald (because the transplanted hair stays forever as you know). I am impressed with their product in this regard (and I have nothing to do with Merck). But I consider myself one of the lucky ones as the drug does work even in old age.

Of course this also has bad news too. At 55 and someone who jogs and works out 7 days per week and has my ENTIRE LIFE since 22, (1) my muscles turned to total “mush” no matter what I try to do for them, (2) I have lost about 1/3 of my strength and energy and fall asleep at 8-9 nightly and this never happened before, (3) my ejaculate is pure clear water with no “strength” whatsoever as it exits, and (4) I constantly have muscle injuries which never seem to heal. This is obviously ALL Propecia related.

Message to you younger guys: Let the hair fall out. Forget hair transplants. Forget Propecia. Enjoy your life. Don’t take the road I took.

Thanks for the advice… but as you and so many before you found out, hairloss is the least of our concerns now due to the damage the drug caused to our health.

I hope for your sake you have quit the drug and recover from its effects.

Cheers.
