Had some changes happen

I was on Propecia for about 1 month, then I noticed weaker erections and reduced quantity of semen, as well as less shooting distance but I still could get hard enough for sex.
As soon as I noticed these things I got off of the Propecia and have been off of it for quite some time now with no improvements, then last week I had 2 days where I was intensely angry at everyone for no reason.
After that I went through about 4 days of my chest feeling very tight and my testicles hurting, although mostly my right one. Now the chest pains are gone but I still have occasional testicular pains.
It now seems like I am waking up with morning erections again and a tingling sensation in my penis when I have sexual thoughts, although I don’t get an erection from the thoughts like I used to before Propecia.
I was curious of what others that might have been through this thought of the changes that have happened recently? Are they good or bad?
Thanks.

My side effects have started doing weird things. They seem to come and go daily. For a couple days I can get erections then for a day or two I can’t again, then they came back again and leave again. Same thing with testical pain, libido, and a couple other things. has anyone else had this? Just curious if this could be my body trying to fix it’s self or a sign of things getting worse?
Thanks.

And again I say: it’s totally okay to have some days not so good with libido and erections. It has been like this all the time for me.

I had my first crash after about 3 weeks followed by various symptoms coming and going but over all after 4 months things were better, morning erections were back and spontaneous erections were about 50% better, erection size was back as well as libido was up some. Then at around 4 months morning erections and spontaneous erections were gone as well as libido, erection size has stayed. After 3 weeks morning erections and libido still haven’t returned. So now I am getting very stessed and freaked out. I did read on here about how some people said they had a real bad spot before recovery set in but the length of this bad spot has me thinking it can’t be that. Have others had long bad spots like this happen?

As I approach month 5 since I stopped taking Propecia I have been struggling to understand the stange things my body has done in the last month. While I like to hope it is a sign of thinks getting better I also fear the worst. After 4 months of improving my symptoms have switched. I was getting hard nocturnal erections everynight again but erections during sexual activity were difficult and not quite full hardness, now nocturnal erections are gone and erections during sexual activity are stronger and easier to get. Anyone else experienced anything like this, I’m trying hard not freak out over the changes.

I went through the rollercoaster of fluctuating symptoms as well as a second crash a few months after my first. Fortunately for me I slowly recovered afterwards, and now at 13 months off I’m probably around 99.5% back to normal (and still improving). Everyone’s body reacts differently though, so you may have a shorter or longer recovery time than me. If you’d like to help it along I’d suggest trying a juicing diet for a little while, and taking vitamin D3 (and no alcohol).

I hope you get better soon!

Thank you for your input tryingnottoworry, the thread title is shit scary and although it’s just one reply it put my mind at ease. It’s hard to remember sometimes that we know barely anything about this ‘disease’ and there really is NO way of knowing when you could recover, and frankly if your at around the 2-6 month period, surely things will be better in a year.

Im in the same exact boat right now. everything shrunk and went to nothing. no more nocturnals after a two/three period of them. I don’t understand how the body can just shift like this. I’m worried sick. I hope that this doesn’t mean that my body has given up on recovering.

It has been just over 7 months since I quit Propecia. I went to the doctor about 3 weeks ago. He did the standard Testosterone and Thyroid test, which came back fine. So now I am a bit lost on what to do next. I have had some improvement in nocturnal and morning erections coming back over the last couple weeks. Should I continue trying to get more test or just wait to see if things continue to improve? I thought that I read somewhere on the website that many people get better at around a year? Or am I just hoping I read that somewhere. I’m not sure anymore, sometimes reading through the website helps and sometimes it freaks me out.
Thanks.

Unfortunately your regular doctor wont be of much help. You will need to get ahold of PFS doc and have them order the proper bloodtests.
