gynecomestica

I had gynecomestica is there something I can take to avoid this.

I am take propecia. But I don’t want gynecomestica.

What is causing this. Is there a way out.

The Finasteride is causing gyno, due to elevated estrogen levels. Get bloodtests done to check Estradiol (ultrasensitive), Estriol, Estrone, Prolactin.

The fact you continue to take the drug is your choice, but if you continue then the only way to get rid of gyno is to:

  1. Quit Propecia

  2. Take an anti-estrogen drug (not recommended due to potential for more side effects, and screwing with hormones even more).

This forum is for guys that QUIT the drug and are still having issues. If you don’t want gyno, I would quit the medication.

Is there another drug I can taje that is natural and will work like propecia.

Not really. You could try Saw Palmetto (maybe combined with Stinging Nettles and Pygmeum), although it operates in a similar manner to Finasteride, albeit likely at a weaker level.

But you have to keep in mind that anything that inhibits DHT, wether a drug or natural supplement, has the potential to cause problems like gyno, due to disturbing the natural hormone balance in your body – especially as surpressing DHT can lead to elevated estrogen levels due to upregulation of Testosterone and aromatization of that extra Testosterone into Estradiol.

If you are concerned, I’d try sticking with topical Nizoral, Rogaine, and Revivogen scalp formula. Suggest you visit some hairloss websites like hairlosstalk.com or hairlosshelp.com for more help when it comes to options, as this is not a hairloss website.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

I have a little bit of this. Any chance it may go away on it’s own or is surgery the only solution? Has anyone had surgery and if so, what was the cost, pain, and recovery like?
