I was involved in clinical research for new drug many years ago. MSD was one where I have been worked.
The problems ( side effects) appears during the treatment AND after the treatment stopped. It is urgent to perfom a blood test if you are taken propecia . You have to request the size of the FSH, LH and prolactine (hormons). Is is very important.
After that, send this forum the resoults and I will be very plased to explain where is the problem with this drug.

Dear patients and medical degrees,
I was taken Finasteride for 8 years ago. As scientist I evaluated each month the changes appeared and side effect. Working in Spain I suggested the urgent necessity to review the technical report to the Medical department of MSD performing new tests and include the dermatologists and the patients.
I was dismissed for the company. During the same month when I was dismissed the technical report was changed in Spain. It said:
"Side effects included infertility and sexual disorder (…) unknown effects in long time treatment periods ". Dated May 2002.
I contacted the Federal Drug Administration in US, and EMEA in Europe, but the silence was the only respond to me.
In summary, to became a BOLD is much better.
