Got a consultation with a sleep disorder centre

After months of waiting from a referral, I have a video consultation with a doctor from the sleep disorder centre at Queen Victoria Hospital, in the UK. This doctor supposedly specialises in insomnia and neurology.

After some advice on how to explain Finasteride related insomnia to this doctor.

Anyone with a good understanding of what the mechanisms are likely to be? Low GABA? allopregnanalone or other neurosteroids? Too much cortisol?

I am going in with an open mind, very interested to hear what they think. Also don’t want to walk away with them telling me its merely stress and anxiety, and to try meditation or antidepressants.

Also those that are well versed in the research, what are the best studies of Finasteride and neurosteroids that I could reference and maybe print out?
