Going to Dr. Goldstien - any last minute things I should print or say to him?

Goldstein, Shippen and Crysler seem to be the only docs treating this. I am seeing Goldstein this week. Anyone know of any consise posts or stories that summ up the syyndrome in a way that might be helpful? He knows of the POST-FIN syndorme and I will of course indicate that what we think about low 3-ADIOL-G ( concerned that finasteride may have permanently downregulated 5 alpha reductase (5AR) activity).

…I just came in at 130 on my last test (was 183 a few months back…see below)

My blood work earlier this year:

  • 3-ADIOL-G 183 ng/dll ref range 260 - 1500
  • T = 743
  • free T = 78.4
  • %free T = 1.05 (Still LOW)
  • Estridol = 51 ref range 13-54 pg / ml (its been as high as 102 last fall and as low as 36 in December) TOO HIGH

He’s well aware of our issues, not to worry. Hope you had a good appointment, tell him I say hello.

Thank You MEW! I am scrambling putting my case together for him. YOu have just reassured me that I can take a chill pill

I have finally posted “my story” which I shall share with him.

The next step for me is to get my labwork history together and post that.

The one thing that really plagues me though is this:

This year I feel pretty dam good - while at the same time I have the worst 3-ADIOL-G scores of anyone who has posted anywhere on the internet (here or in BB forums)

…and its even going down (183 to 130)

Go figure?

Dr Goldstein definitly is a thourogh specialist. He spoke very highly of MEW and confirmed what we all allready knew, which is that MEW is selflessly devoting himself to this casue in an attempt to help others deal with it.

It did not take take Dr Goldstein long to arrive at my devistating diagnosis of signifigant peyronies. I wrote a bit more about it in my story. which I’ll put a link to .
