going crazy

I most certainly would.

Vit D3 has been one of the best supplements I’ve taken to date. The results are getting better and better as time goes on and my deficit is paid up. I also started taking ZMA more regularly for the magnesium. I take it about 2 or 3 nites a week. I believe it is having a synergistic effect with the D.

I bought vitamin D 5000iu tables a few weeks back but i stopped taking them. Do you think the suplementation would be very different to actual sunlight? I walk to work and normally get 20-30 mins of sunlight a day so i wasn’t sure it would make a difference. I think i will take some tonight though.

As strange as it sounds, when i read about Vitamin D i started lying on my bed naked and letting sunlight hit all the parts of my body it hadn’t for god knows how long. I thought i might as well get my vitamin d receptors working again. Unfortunately i live with too many people so its hard to nude up :open_mouth:

I do believe regular sunlight produced Vit D to be best, as with all things in nature, the way it’s supposed to be is always better then what we can put in a cap, but for some, especially us in North America, it’s just not possible for a good portion of the year.

You’re in OZ right? I woudn’t think it would be a problem there to get enough natural Vit D but you never know. Some mechanism could have been damaged by fin. Also, unless you were letting the sun into your room through an open window, most of the correct wavelengths of light were being filtered out through the glass stopping endogenous production in you body.

As far as getting enough walking to work in 20-30 minutes, I think if you were operating with a deficit a bit more time would be needed then that to really top off the tanks. In short, we just don’t spend enough time outside where we evolved and developed to get enough sunlight, especially now post fin. I am still going to supplement through the summer time albeit at a lowered dose, then increase in winter again. I plan on getting it tested in the fall to see where I’m at.

With everything I’ve been reading lately on this hormone/Vit., You definitely want to make sure you have enough.

You should always do more than just a water fast, at least the maple syrup and lemon juice. What kinds of fruits, veggies, and cereals?

This is very poor advice, to say the least. There is absolutely nothing wrong with a medically supervised water fast. The maple syrup and lemon juice thing is a total waste and is not a real fast.

Martin, for someone who has some pretty decent posts once in awhile, I"m surprised at this one. It lacks any understanding whatsoever of what a fast consist of and why it is a completely natural process and not something to be feared.

Youngbuck: if you can do the fast, do it. I myself am gearing up for my third extended water fast since coming off of propecia. I’m all set to go for the month of February. I want to see if I can get to 100% cured through another round of fasting. Right now I’m pretty much in the best shape of my life. I"m going into this one as clean as I’ve ever been (no drugs, bad food, highl level of fitness, etc.) so I have high expectations for the results.

I wouldn’t be doing this for the third time around if it wasn’t working. Just something to keep in mind. Not eating isn’t fun. Also, do some research on water fasting. You’ve got nothing to lose by fasting but everything to lose by not…

Talk to your parents , Shippen or Jacobs before you embark on this “fast”. I honestly don’t think diet or fasting is going to cure any of us. It’s important to the extent of putting your body in the best position to recover via other means so definately its not a waste of time. But focusing all your attention on it though I believe is missing the forest in the trees. If you can cite and proof, other than anechdotal, that fasting helps I’m all ears. Flame if you want. lol

Unfortunately most Doctors are completely ignorant when it comes to fasting. Just like most Dr.'s are completely ignorant when it comes to propecia side effects. Asking any Doctor about fasting would be just like asking them about how to fix post fin problems. It’s a worthless endevour and a losing battle from the beginning. You need to seek out fasting literate Doctors. Doctors that have successfully fasted thousands a of people. Sorry bud, no way to half ass it.

By the way, if your trying to eat all raw, you need to ditch the cereal and subway sandwhiches. Going raw is an all or nothing endevour.

I’ll be posting my experience after my third fast in February.
