“Federal prosecutors are closing in on criminal charges against General Motors Co. over a faulty ignition switch linked to more than 100 deaths, but they are still weighing whether to charge individual employees,” The Wall Street Journal reported yesterday.
That story here:

But the larger story – that I HOPE develops from this sort of action against GM – is this:
How long before the federal government begins similarly charging pharmaceutical companies like Merck for their crimes?
I would say it’s a distinct possibility within the next year.
And I would love to see every last Merck employ tossed out onto the street for their role in perpetuating what is essentially the world’s most profitable Nazi death camp.
Out of the courtrooms and into the streets!
(Let me say that again.)
Out of the goddamn courtrooms and into the streets!
Meanwhile, Physics.org is running a story today (which is also being reported in other major media outlets around the globe) headlined: “Thousands Worldwide March Against Monsanto and GM Crops.”
The “GM” in that context stands for “genetically modified.” But the story gives me hope that one day we see a headline like this:
“Thousands Worldwide March Against Merck’s Dangerous Drugs.”
So it is written, so it shall be done.
