Generating awareness -- PFS docs, newspapers, media

Had a consult with Dr. Shippen tonight. Just got off the phone. Very positive conversation. As some of you may already know the PFS docs have conferenced with eachother and have shared some ideas. (Thanks Mew) He said they are planning a face to face conference sometime soon. More awesome news.

I’m going off the clomid /t3. Wasnt really wasnt seeing any benefits. Will start Procaine @ 1 cc and .5 cc vit b12 daily injections. Gonna give a shot for a few weeks or so and see how it goes.

So there’s plans for all these docs to confer in-person on this issue? That’s really good news. I wonder when, and what they’ll conclude.

the best thing they can do is work together to get this looked into on a research basis. Whether this be by writing case reports and publishing them or finding people interested in looking at us and convincing them with the studies (the one published and the one we were involved in) that this is worth investigating.

Just out of curiosity can we run an add in the news papers and offer a reward for whoever finds / researches to find solutions for sides induced by fin/SP?. I know it is hardly difficult if any body will show up but at least it will create a general public awarness.
second thing why not we contact people who are doing PHD in chemistry or biology and ask them to do theri final project/thesis in sides caused by fin/PS? We can offer some money as well.

Guys please think about it , we are short of time.

sps

My friends sister has a PHD in bio and does research that’s shown to Obama and when I told her about this whole ordeal she said she has access to info on this drug that hasnt been released to the public and such and was going to look into it. I’m actually going to see her tonight and have a chat with her. She has told me through email that messing with 5ar is very complicated pathway.

At least tell her get this mess into notice of obama. Please Guys do something.

it doesnt work like that lol. Shes never met wit him. Her research just goes to him.

Toad -Thanks for looking into that. It would be wise to keep any progress on that front heavily under wraps obviously.

Spriken - I think we need to start a non-profit either with its own website or incorporated with this one. Raise money from donations, write grants, etc. A “prize” would have to be huge for anyone to consider investing in going after it.

No body respond to my suggestions about news papers. Can we put an add in the news paper. Did some body try it?
I talked to Ottawasun but sinec English is not my first language and I think I didnot explain it well or they considered me some hypocondriac whatever the reason, the guy did not contact me back. I was expecting this kind of response.

A while back I researched health issue reporters for city newspapers in various parts of NY. I emailed 10 or 15 of them our story. No one responded back. Recently I have been contacting consumer advocacy groups for the healthcare field. I have only had one response there. I think we should all be doing this IMO. Next I might try some of the larger news agencies like AP and see if I can get any bites there. Would be great to get one of them to write a story since it would be syndicated to thousands of news outlets.

Spsriken - An ad doesnt accomplish anything as its something we “purchased”. We need a professionally written story by a respected and non biased news agency. (Mmartin -insert Fox News joke here). It might be easier to get a story done in Canada since you have public healthcare. So, keep at it.

Definitely hit the media big time when the Irwig study comes out, I believe he wants us to cooperate in doing ths.

Atleast we can start an online singanture chain. Get signed everybody and that with a story send to newspapers.

I’d really like to contribute, but I’m still trying to make solid verbal communication work from brain fog. However, I think there might be better chances trying to use some of the top journalism schools,

  1. Idealistic college students looking to make a break
  2. Liberal arts students/schools slant against corporate America
  3. Journalism students need original projects

I really don’t know how to get in contact with any students (would probably be pretty strange to from their perspective), but I’m sure it would be possible to contact faculty via school websites at schools with strong journalism departments. Top newspapers are going to have a hard time trying to print “unproven” fringe stories like ours. Start small.
