Hello.
I have been doing lots of tests and trials.
I have found that I have high siliva progesterone and estradiol along with low T and DHT.
In blood tests free T is also low but progesterone and estradiol are at good levels (mid range)
The siliva tests clearly explain my symptoms. The question is why the discrepancy?
I tested 17-hydroxy-progesterone in blood and found it to be 2.5 times the range. This to me could explain the high free progesterone levels and low free T. Of course this would keep LH and FSH relatively low despite low free T levels.
I posted a while back that pregnant guinie pigs become totally resistant to testosterone shots. And in fact testosterone can decrease their cortisol when it will usually increase it when they are not pregnant. This explains my experience with TRT. I only felt some short term benefits on trt and then felt worse.
Could some more people here test your free hormones : You may find they explain what you are experiencing.
If you are in the US you can do this here - diagnostechs.com/Pages/Intro.aspx or ZRT labs, I am sure there are many other places.
Please test T, DHT, e1, e2 ,e3, progesterone, 17-hydroxyprogesterone, androstenedione, dhea and cortisol.
It cost me 200 bucks to do this and was worth every sent. Going to the doctor often costs more and ends up being no benefit.
You do not need a doctor to order these tests for you.
Please do these tests and report back. Do not delay we need to do all we can to shed more light on this condition.
Thanks
