i have spoke with an expert who has explained the brain fog for propecia attention everyone i think you might want to stay off foods that contains fat :
Hi Mk,
Yes, we have known finasteride’s effect on allopregnenolone for some time already. Who is this expert that you mention? A doctor, an ND? I suggest you search the old forum at yahoo for Smithpulitzer’s texts, he has a very sensible theory about the whole thing.
What about you yourself? I am curious about what kind of doctor are you? Are you and MD, ND or something else? It is great to get some extra help for the research.
If the brain fog has been very long after quitting the drug, can you mention something to correct the problem? We have a theory about progesterone doing this. I personally will try it in January-February.
Propecia/finasteride is also absolutely known to often cause a reduction in testosterone and a lack of testosterone is called hypogonadism.
Look up the symptoms of hypogonadism and you find a whole host of mental symptoms.
Depression
Anxiety
Loss of concentration
inability to concentrate
etc
In fact a lack of testosterone is implicated in the development of Alzheimer’s.
If you have low testosterone and it is increased on TRT or some other form of therapy then you will often find such symptoms disappear in hours.
…is indeed absorbed into the body. Why else would it sometimes decrease blood pressure?
if you are experiencing sides from it it means too much is being absorbed into the body
i reduced my dose from 1ml 2x/day to 1/2 ml/2x day and the sides went away
and there is no way a topical is absorbed anywhere near as much as an internal
